C32 calipers will bolt right up without any spacers, when I had CL500 calipers I needed 4 washers on each bolt. I think CLK 550 calipers will fit too, they take a 345mm rotor.

Does a W220 caliper bolt right up as well? They're just black and don't have the amg logo on them?Originally Posted by illest

If you go with CLK550 caliper, can you fit the stock 17s on?
Are rears a good upgrade as well or just leave them stock?
c32 (w203)/ CLK500 (w209) / CLK550 calipers will need 345mm rotors from a C32 and will bolt directly on. However the rotor retaining screw (the one the holds the rotor to the hub) will not line up with the hole, the lug nuts will hold it all together when the wheel is on, not a big deal but worth knowing. Read this post
Also cl500 calipers will need washers or spacers to align with the rotors and 330mm rotors from a SLK32 (they will stick out farther and might not clear your wheels) I was ran 10mm spacers on the front so mine fit fine.
The stock 17s will fit over the c32 calipers.

The C32 rears are 300mm your stock rotors are 290mm, and I think they are single piston. I did not upgrade mine.

Yes the w220 calipers bolt up with washers. Mine came off a 02 s55 before they went to the 8pot. Came in black, but I just had them sprayed silver.Originally Posted by SerbNerd

Teaser pic of the next big mod

Car is filthy cuz its been raining a lot here. Installed the axle back exhaust yesterday. I am not 100% sure if I like how far out I told them to put the tips...Might have them bring it in an inch or so. Sounds good. Sound clips to come soon. And better pics too.

Thanks man. Without a camber kit you will get pretty aggressive camber steer on uneven roads. However, the biggest issue I ever had with being this low was doing it on stock shocks. The car felt straight up unsafe. A good set of heavy duty shocks will do wonders for a lowered car, especially a heavy one like our benzes. Full car is no problem, and sharp turns are lots of fun with the right suspension and tire setup.Originally Posted by W210calibenz

Ya the big things i'm worried about are rubbing and camber. I replaced my stock shocks with kyb's recently so i'm pretty safe in that department. I'm taking it back to the suspension shop this week to go lower. I pray that I don't need camber plates/bolts!! Originally Posted by FlatlineEF9

I'll post some updated pics once I get it back. Thanks for the reply

oh damn. I had the silvers on my civic and they didn't last too long on a lowered car. treat them well. they are basically OEM replacements.

They seem alright to me but I haven't had them for too long. I really should of bought a cup kit from the get go...Now i've got to live with my mistakes and make the best out of itOriginally Posted by FlatlineEF9

So back in December I finally did my springs and shocks all around. Went with Koni Yellows and Einbach springs with 1s up front and 2s in back.
Now the car corners awesome and what not but driving on the highway and hitting a bump or pothole is no fun. The ride was just too much, like I had no springs what so ever.
The question is, are you guys experiencing this too?
I've gone back to the stock springs until everything unfreezes here in Indiana and will put back the Einbachs but would like to figure out how to make the car ride better...or more bearable I guess.
Also, anyone know how to adjust the yellows? hah I seem to have not understood anything online and the papers that came with the kit are no good.

i went from OE springs (too soft), to Voigtland (waay too harsh), to 1" cut OE
springs (so-so), to to Eibach (pretty good).
shock changed from OE (too little dampening), to Koni yellow/adj (still not enough
compression and rebound dampening), to Bilstein HD/Sport (pretty good).
adjusting the Koni yellow (at least on my model) was to place a Koni supplied
3" diameter adjustment wheel at the top spindle of the shock. turn CCW to
lessen dampening...turn CW to increase dampening. my yellow body shock had
low-med-high adjustment.

I've tried to adjust the Koni's but don't really feel a difference when turning the knob. You can go past the 720 degrees easily.
So your saying that Blistein's allow for the best ride? I feel as if that car was bobbing up and down and so on but that may have been because of the stiffness and road surface,
My main complaint is when I drive on the highway and have my head resting on the headrest...and you hit a nice bump, it'll snap your head back. It's not severe but still is annoying nevertheless.
Have to be honest, girlfriend didn't notice anything on the car except that it was lower :p
BUT the friends kill me over the stiffness!

I know it's called a head rest...but that's not what it's for.

This is strange. My car rides smooth with the koni yellows with a 4 inch drop. I have the front and rear 6 notches from full stiff. Trimmed one rib off the bump stops. 18 inch wheels too. Originally Posted by SerbNerd

Are you running 19s or bigger? If so, theres your problem right there...19s or 20s on our cars will give a crappy ride no matter what your suspension setup.
As for not noticing a difference in your shocks when adjusting...I notice a HUGE difference with just a few notches of turning...something may be wrong or you might be riding on bumpstop.

I'm running with 17s plus winters which should be squishy like no other :p Even 18s shouldn't be a big deal with this setup.Originally Posted by FlatlineEF9

I'm not sure what I'm not doing right :/ I'll have to record a video of the knob adjustment and see if you guys know something I don't hah.
BTW: Where are updates on your car!

I just got the front lip resprayed and reinstalled. I recently shipped my civic to Hawaii and so that was a long rebuilding process after 4 years of not driving it. That kept me pretty busy. Still have the brakes and camber arms at home...need to install that stuff.
Will take pics after I wash the car...will also take video of the exhaust.

Got around to washing her last night. Not too good of a pic, but ill take more and get the exhaust clips as well this weekend during the day. Stay tuned.
