W210 - E300TD - OM606 no fuel to injectors

My 98 E300TD quite running - I am getting power to glow plugs - I am not getting fuel out of loosened injector B nuts - I feel and hear the click of the fuel shut off valve (FSOV) - then by taking small bolt out of top of fuel filter housing and with ignition key turned on applying air pressure from air compressor to fuel system via gas tank inlet - fuel seemed to push through - with it leaking out of top of pre-filter connection now it previously had started in this manner but now it will not start? What is the best way to bleed the fuel system and what is the best way to tell if it is the injection pump itself that is not providing high pressure fuel to injectors? Is there a lift pump involved in this system? Even if not outwardly leaking can poor IP valve body seals cause no output? Does anyone here on forum have or know of an injection pump I can buy and or send to reputable someone for rebuild - is the pump an OM606 with part no 6060700601?
I hope I can remove and then properly install and time it!
Any info - suggestions - advice - is well appreciated!

I know what you are going to say---bla bla bla-----however the system is not as simple as you think and you need to review all the fuel delivery documents in MB WIS---you either subscribe or go to ebay for a copy.
I have never found in the USA a company that rebuilds the pumps----you best bet is to ask on the euro benz forums as there are many rebuilders.
If you dont have the diagnostic tools you are screwed and left with the polak ***** approach and if you dont have the WIS documents you will never remove and correctly install a new pump if that is in fact what is required.
I would also try and locate a truck diesel mechanic for help as at least he understands the system an in a better position to make suggestions and stay away from gas mechanics as they dont know SFS about diesels.

I have not owned a E300TD for nearly five years but I have had to tackle the fuel delivery system a couple of times. It's quite likely that you have an air leak somewhere along the fuel's convoluted route. I bought mine initially to run on waste veg oil but after learning the hard way. Rubber seals were replaced with Viton, the delivery valve seals were replaced with Viton and seals in the lift pump were also replaced with Viton. I did a full refresh of all the plastic fuel hoses between the lift pump on the side of the engine, to the fuel filter and on to the injection pump. Even during a routing engine service, the battery was put on charge because after a lot of cranking was needed to pull the diesel all the way from the tank to the engine. On a good day the engine was not always it's happiest on WVO so I gave in and fed him diesel the whole time. Check for air getting in before you get too complicated.

Found the source of my problem for my 98 E300TD - previously had hard starts noting bubbles in injection pump lines with air getting in fuel system - desided to replace all 6 clear fuel lines with new O rings - however hard starts and low prower persited - replaced several parts - fuel temp sensor - stock primer or transfer pump on injection pump itself - crank pos sensor - and fuel Shut Off Valve (SOV) twice because it would delay shutdown and trip the P0215 code even after I erased it. What resoved this issue was revisiting proper line routing because I had swapped the clear fuel line ends of tube #3 with where tube #4 goes and visa versa - lines will seem to fit going to incorrect hookups such that the supposed imput fuel line #3 can be hooked up to the output of transfer (primer) pump and output fuel line #4 can be hooked up visa-versa. Ths is why It is recomended to replace one fuel line at a time to avoid getting end connections mixed up!.

I connected fuel lines properly and now runs fantastic!!!

fuel pressure e55 amg year 2000

My car is a 2000 E55 amg, the fuel pressure is 58 psi, is this correct? I saw comments of 55 - 60 psi and others of 70 - 77 psi, which is correct?

Hey bro fyi this was a diesel fuel system question------nothing to do with gas fuel system pressures----go start a new thread, but reread what you have posted as it does not make sense---58psi where in the system????
