can somebody give a help?
thanks guys
red cable = POSITIVE battery terminal
black cable = NEGATIVE battery terminal
but if your vehicle is like my 99, both cables are black...but (!) the positive
cable has additional bundle of RED/ORANGE wires which also share the same
battery connector.
So, the single black cable is to be attached to NEGATIVE terminal.
The multiple (which includes REDs) cable is to be connected to POSITIVE.

You DO NOT want to get those cables reversed! Bad things can and will result. :v
You do know that ( - ) or negative means ground? Look for that cable to go to the frame or some direct metal connection. You see, the body is grounded.
The other connection is ( + ) for posiitive, and generally is red and slightly larger in diameter than the other smaller usually black cable.
If you have any doubts, do not proceed without seeing another car similar to yours, and copy it.
Is your battery under the rear seat?
HTHs.
well, i think i get 'em clear enough and i will start to proceed now
thanks a lot guys
only i don't know what kind of wierd computer things would happen after i have replaced the battery...
and i am not really sure about the oil that hasn't been used inside the engine and transmision for that length of time...
i hope the tires doesn't expire yet....
wow i gotta a lot things to do for the baby..... please give me some tips since this is my first time leaving her for that long
i really can't stand any longer
Depending on where you are, the guys in the US should be able to point you in the right direction as to where to get the computer reprogrammed.....hope your car starts and run properly at least....good luck

the down side after giving the car new battery is everything reset, oh ya and the onboard computer is informing that it got failure on BAS and ABS system, i hope that's only required some reprogramming
maybe tomorrow i will turn it into my dealer and get everything fixed
Yes, BAS/ABS warning is one thing that lights up and on the (external) computer diagnosis, it will show up as an error but it's not necessarily a real failure (which many here have experienced). Best to get them to reset everything, including the error readings then run the car for a while - if there's no further warning lights, then its OK, if the lights come on again, have your car thoroughly checked...but of course, I'm sure you won't forget to check the regular things such as coolant, oil, transmission and brake fluids etc.

yes i totally agree with that safe battery changing procedure to prevent the need of reseting.
well i did the "non-safe" procedure and i had gotten everything reset
