Traded my E320 for a S430
Made a pretty good deal, about $1500-2000 below invoice and got a reasonable trade value based on the soft W211 market. Drove it home at 5PM or so and I am one happy camper. The R was nice and is a great car but this is totally different and reeks with quality. I shot a couple of pictures and posted some others on a web site.
I know I will not be posting here much anymore but wanted to thank you all for your input when needed. Look for me on the W220 board.

Nice........
BTW, congratulations!
It feels bigger but not that much...I think after I get comfortable with it, it shouldn't be a factor. I was looking at the R Class which is just as long as this and a lot bulkier and did not have a problem when I test drove it. The interior room is great. I got in the back seat today behind the drivers position with the seat in my normal place and there was no shortage of leg room like sometimes in the E.

Yes it was a big jump for me but I always wanted an S and never seemed to pull it off. Glad I did it and I am really pleased with the White/Stone/Burl Walnut match. Hope to see you soon on the W221 forum...but I'll be on the W220...:-)

If I were you I don't know which I'd do. Bring it in the house and sleep in it or spend the night crusing the Strip

anyway, why don't you wait a bit longer to get the new S...
Very nice and many congrats
The White exterior with Stone interior really stands out .... BUT a word of caution ...
If you have to deal with little ones, please scotch guard the interior. I have White/Stone on my w211 and the interior attracts dirt sooo easy.

The dealership has a treatment that covers the entire car...paintguard, fiberguard and leatherguard. It is called Perma Plate and I was offered the employee price ($595) for the package. The salesman raves about it but he has more than a customer interest..:-)
I have never gone for any of these treatments but would like to hear comment on this specific PermaPlate by Siskin Enterprises in Salt Lake City.
You can buy an awful lot of Zaino (or other) products for $600.
