New E Owners Having Too Much Fun to Post Pictures and Lease Terms?????

An official picture thread was created almost a week ago and I created a new thread a few days ago asking for those who have leased to post the terms they obtained. On the picture thread, there is only one picture. On the lease info thread there are no postings with info.

Is it possible that we have so few participants who have taken delivery that we can't get pics and lease info??? Or, are you guys who have taken delivery (like the guy in the new MB E Class ad with the Genie) having so much fun that you can't take time to help those of us poor folk who are still waiting???? If it's the fun thing, at least let us know that!!!!

IMO jhb, the actvity on this Board has decreased significantly over the past couple of weeks. Don't know why either but it's getting boring. Hardly any new posts and most of the few new posts are about tires.

Looks like those of us desperately waiting for our wheels have to fend for ourselves!

Rayscar, interesting you say that. I created this thread partly because I really want to see pictures and know lease terms and partly because of boredom. Maybe its "backtoschoolitis" for forum members themselves and their kids that is making it slow.

i check this forum daily, and almost hourly doing my homework..

but nothing really interests me to post. i already posted pics of my car, and financially...i wasn't responsible for it so i don't know anything about that...although i know i didn't lease it.

Thanks, I know you posted pics right away. On the fun front, I know you are having fun from the episode with "cell phoning" your way out of a speeding ticket. Keep having fun and be safe!!

You can use a 35 mm and when you have the film developed have the pics put on disk. That's what i intend to do until I decide which digital camera to buy.

Well bmms8 let's hope the next big news is not a rash of problems with the new E. I guess I'd take boring over that!

ohhhhh i just got back from my garage after sitting around in my E. Be honest, I am a little disappointed with the rear leg room. I am 6' 3" , first i sit in driver seat ,after that , i move to the rear seat without changing the front seat position and you know what, I CANNOT SEAT IN THE REAR. No more space in the back. The new E was not the only choice when i was thinking about buying a new car. I had these three choice : BMW X5, Lexus LS430 and New E. I should choose X5 if i know the new E has small rear leg room. well, the car is mine now, nothing i can do.

I'm looking for something with 4 megapixels because it is comparable in quality to a 35 mm when printed even as large as 8x10. That means a price range of about $500 to $600 without upgrading the storage memory. I don't have any specific model numbers with me.

I'm 6'1" and am also concerned about rear leg room but another way to look at it is I will almost always be in the driver's seat. How many times will there be a tall person in the back. As long as there is enough room for my two kids when I have the drivers seat adjusted for myself that will do us for 90% of the time. I was lloking at the BMW 540i and the Jaguar S-Type and both of those cars had small back seats too. Do you think smaller people will be comfortable in the back of the E?

Back seat size

I'm in the midst of the exact same X5 vs E decision right now...The printed dimensions for leg room, shoulder room etc are amazingly close. Now, how they get their numbers I don't know. Basically for us, the backseat is going to be the car seat zone - I guess it really comes down to how the space is allocated between the two vehicles.

If anyone has insight on deciding between the two, I'd like to hear it!

I am using the Sony DSC-P9 and it is one of the best digital cameras I ever laid hands on. Use www.pricegrabber.com to get the best pricing.

I think smaller people will sit OK as long as they dont seat behind me. IT almost doesnt have any room, it is only about 5" left in the rear seat.

cfisher:
if you consider the leg room, you'd better take X5 but remember, the interior of X5 is not as nice as the new E and also X5 have been in market since 2000, you may be expect little facelift somewhere in 2004?? maybe. the decision is all yours.

I also was looking for the same cars. Actually, I do not care much about back seats because I have only my kids on them. I believe front leg and shoulder rooms are more important.
