32 months and 31,000 miles and still no problems

Since a larger proportion of unhappy owners post, I thought I'd add my milestone. I meant to let the forum know when I crossed 30,000 miles a month or so ago ...

I've never had to take my 2004 E320 into the shop except for routine maintenance.

We have an 06 that is 1 year and 3 months old now and has only been in for routine maintenance.. But then again it has almost no miles on less than 6k.

After 3.5 years/27K miles, still no major or recurring issues. A bad wheel speed sensor put the car in the shop for two weeks, but that's because the part had to come from Chermany. Other than that, only a few minor things like an audio system firmware update, a sticking ash tray door and several recalls, usually handled as part of regular maintenance. It hasn't been perfect, but then I'm not expecting perfection. It's a very complex machine. Our E39 BMW, not nearly as complex, had had many more issues by the same point.

My 2003 E500 has ben relatively trouble free. I do have a nagging check engine light that the MB dealer wanted $1,500 just to begin to trouble shoot the wiring harness. I decided to live with the light as it does not alter the driveability of the car. I have gone through three sets of brakes other than that and the car has performed nicely. I am about to turn 130,000 miles and outside of the stone chips on the front of the car, it looks and runs great.

26000 on my 04 E500 and no problems. It's a great automobile.
