in the market for e500

I am in the market for a E500. I could buy this from a friend.

2005 E500 4 matic, every option, including amg package

2sets of tires
well taken care of
50,000 miles

asking price is 35,700.00

Anyone know what this is worth?

THANKS!

No, but that sounds like a fair price to me. JD Powers & Associates has a good used car pricing system that you should look at to make sure. Unfortunately, it sounds like it is just out of warranty so your friend cannot buy an extended one that he could probably transfer to you.

Yes, sounds good but, I'd be very concerned about lack of warranty, too. Personally, I wouldn't buy a used car at that price with no warranty

That's relatively a lot of miles, and as someone pointed out, the car is not under warranty. A warning light somewhere can cost you a lot. I don't recommend that you pay more than $32-32.5Kfor that vehicle. After buying it, spend about another $3-4K on a comprehensive warranty. This would bring the total price you pay to around 35-36K with the peace of mind of having a good warranty. Stay below $32.5 and you are fine. If they won't sell it at that, move on and you'll likely find something similar. That car is still depreciating about $400-500 a month!

The car he's considering is a 2005 so the two aren't really comparable. The mileage is pretty similar though and the car you mention is still under warranty.

You're in the ball park...could be a tad better price.
