ROW always had more engine choices than the US. Reading the article its obvious by the spelling, nomenclature of some words that it is not US based.

from the spy shot, looks like to me the car's body doesn't look any different than the current W211 however the doors look extended especially the front doors is longer and the rear looks somewhat different but probably something like the current S class taillights. Only time will tell when they reveal it since we already seen the new C class coming this Summer which I am not really impress with the rear end.

I doubt 2.5L make it here.
I know many other countries has 2007 E200K 184/250 power.
It does make sense specially for cities like Tokyo, Taipei, or Bangkok where bascially, you always have bumper to bumper traffic. (but still want to enjoy the luxury of MB)
