verizon envy issues
The issue with your Verizon Envy is probably because that phone cycles the bluetooth signal on and off to save battery power.
I bought the new puck from an online dealership via EBay for $350. I was able to install it within a matter of minutes and it's working fine. I can send/receive calls, etc. However, with my Verizon Envy phone the phonebook will not update. It will sync with my Verizon BlackBerry 8703e. I am going to the dealership to make sure I have the latest command version on my E-500 (unless there's a way to tell myself - does anyone know?).

I have a 2005 E500 & I downloaded the PDF file which states it is for a 2004 with a working Teleaid, my Teleaid worked until a week ago and was hands free.
Will this puck work in my car or must I install other modules?

puck with tail install affected my nav system
finally installed my "puck with tail" in my s430 and the good news is that it paired with my phone. sweet! the bad news is that my "navigation" and "map" immediately stopped working. the message i get is "nav system not available". any thoughts? all i did was plug in the device into the existing jack.

Im a newbie to the E class can someone tell me what parts do i need im going to my mb dealer today and going to get it? I have a 04 e320 and i was heading to MBDOCTOR this week for the NAV unit and the PHONE but if i can install it my self that would even be better , So if anyone out there can help i would be very happyyyyy! lol Thanks alot

For those lucky people that have the "puck with tail" installed in their '03 or '04. (I have on 03).
Does the phone buttons on the steering wheel work? Can you use them to answer and hangup a call?
I will be ordering this as soon as i know as much as i can...

I installed the puck/tail on my 03 and it has full functionality with command and steering wheel, simple installation also! You will need to get it coded at MB

Thanks for the reply, how does the puck sit in the console. How does it attach? where does the cable go through the false bottom?
Since in my MY03 center console, there is nothing below the flip doors, i keep stuff in there, do i need to replace the bottom?

Sounds like I get the part, install it, have MB upload the newest version of COMMAND, and then make sure they tweak Teleaid.... Does that sound right?

I'm not sure whether this will add or detract from the discussion but I'm using part# B 6 7 87 5878, labeled as Bluetooth cradle from MB. The salesperson installed it . I'm not sure it's the "puck with a tail" referenced here but I was able to pair my LG 8300 with Verizon service w/o difficulty. It sits in the back of the center console and has blue LED's that my grandson is infatuated with. I particilarly like the ability to access the recent call list on the Multi function display and place a call using the steering wheel buttons w/o having to page through the phone book on the COMAND screen.

puck with tail - phone book question
when i use my puck with tail with my Motorola bluetooth phone it downloads my phone directory. when i use it with my Samsung Blackjack, it works fine as well, however it does not download the phone directory. what i do is switch the SIM chip from phone to phone. is there a way to save the phone directory to the car after it downloads from the Motorola?

Just got my car back from MB today and got my bluetooth installed cost me about 600 bucks but i didnt do a thing everything works steering controls keypad ect ect, But i have a non-supported phone and i cant get my phone book to load is there anyway i can get it up ?

I installed the puck with tail and have similar issues, I have the euro command unit and the "please insert phone" message came up. I can't even answer the phone if calls come in.
The pairing went fine with my iphone and motorola "Q" but nothing from the command screen.
Did you get anywhere?
i have an appointment with my dealer, they just installed this unit in another car, so maybe they can get it to workl in mine.

Did You Hold The Blue Button On The Puck Until It Kept Flashing Fast And Paired The Phone? Also Make Sure Your Bluetooth Is Set To ON , On Your Phone , I Had The Same Problem And I Repaired My Phone And Wa'lah It Works
