"Puck with tail" initial impressions.....
The video is 3-5 sec slower than the audio, but I tried. You should find this helpful though. Let me know if it helped anyone.

Anyone have one, or a new one for much less than MB's MSRP pricing?
I searched all over to understand this and found how to do this install. This site was the only one that helped me out. I wanted to present a video to make it even easier. when i get a chance I will post pics for those who cant access video or need to print a quick reference.
Happy Holidays

I am thinking about going to another dealer but don't want to pay again (since I paid for the unit and installtion already even though it is not working).

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I guess they would also know how to do it if they were less lazy and searched for the installation document, like AN82.61-P-0001-05T.
1. Checked/updated to make sure the software for the command center was updated to the latest version. Phone still not working
2. Check/updated the version code for the command center (I am still not sure what this is but they checked it). All setting were fine. Phone still not working.
At this point my dealer was stumped. The lead tech started looking at all of the settings for my car and found an option to turn on the phone in the teleaid options. Once he made that change - everything worked (and I mean everything). The Command center showed that I had a phone, the address book downloaded, the numeric keypad worked, speakers, mic, etc.

I did not try a non-approved MB phone, as I do not have access to one right now. I will try to borrow a friends phone and will post my results.
I hope this info help. Any questions, please let me know.
I did not upgrade mine..and it working great..

I inquired at MBUSA.com about putting a bluetooth system in my 2004 E500. They said I needed the phone install kit (+/- $2000). I checked with two local dealer and they confirmed the $2,000 option. Then I "stumbled" upon the MBWorld forums and read about the "Puck". For $375 bucks and about 15 minutes of my time - I now have Bluetooth syched up with my Blackberry!
EVERYTHING works great! Don't listen to what everyone says...Everyone said it wouldn't work with a Blackberry - it does. They say it won't work with Sprint - it does. Analog vs. Digital Tele-Aid...bologna! My steering wheel works! My address book downloaded! Everything! They did need to "turn on the phone" in the Tele-Aid features of the computer and after that - Bingo!
Thanks again guys! and good luck with your installs!

I'm now pretty darned confused, but fairly sure that I'm on the right track.
First, I bought my E320 used (I'll spare you the details, but suffice it to say I love this thing) and when I got it, it had a V60 installed in the cradle. The phone is mostly dead as the battery won't hold a charge, and that's OK, because it's yesterday's phone. I'm wanting to stick a Bluetooth thingy in this car and, hopefully, use it with an iPhone. So, two questions:
Is there an advantage to using the V60-style puck (p/n B67875856) over the cradle replacer (p/n B67875855--hopefully, I have both p/n's correct)? If so, what is it? Price? Ease of installation? I would consider using the cradle replacer if I could bury the replacer a little deeper in the car and free up the center armrest for some other use. (Is that more than one question?!)
Second, if the car has had the V60 operating in it before, which I think it has, will I need to get my dealer to do anything with the programming? Or should this work "out of the box?"
Third (OK, I'm trying to sneak a third item in under the radar!), has anybody used either one of these units with an iPhone?
Thanks a zillion,
Bill

There is no advantage with using the cradle/puck over the puck w/tail. The puck with tail is a solution for people that did not have the V60 cradle installed from the factory, which you did. All you need to do is throw away that god awful V60 phone and pop in a V60 puck. Not the puck w/tail, just the normal V60 puck. Since your car came equipped with the V60 cradle and phone, the dealer will not have to activate anything. You're good to go.
As for the iPhone, I dunno. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. I just purchased the new LG Voyager and it works flawlessly with my V60 puck.
Good luck.

Now here's the prob. I have the tele-aid system(which is disabled) but, no NAV COMMAND. Will this system(B67875855) still work without the NAV COMMAND.

Does anyone know if the #B67875855 Bluetooth Adapter (Puck with Tail) will work with an Audio 50 unit?
