2009 E Class interior is horrible!
OMG. I just saw this next generation E class interior online, and I think its the most hideous interiors of any car EVER! Its absolute garbage no class and elegance at all.

Angular is right. don' t like the buttons on the wheel, placement of video? screen and all the corners. I bought a new corvette C5 1999 and like the smooth flowing curves. I haven't bought a new one because I don't like the sharp corners and exposed headlights. My C5 will perform well againt most others and still looks new. My E500 is also in "new" condition and I prefer the flowing interior to the "Angular" Might have to switch to a S500 if they hold the angles.

Have to agree, it does not look like one would expect from an MB, looks like a Japanese car 
This photo looks like it could be photoshopped but it has a lot of similarities with this jes.mb interior shot, what a pity.

It seems to be styled similar to the new C Class. IMHO it looks better than the latest S Class, which really looks like a BMW copy. It will probably look better in person than the picture shows although it is pretty angular in the shot.

The current E Class interior/exterior designs are first rate, so much improved over the previous W210.
The W212 interior spy shots suggest a very angular design, in keeping with the more angular exterior appearance. This interior, in cashmere trim at least, looks very fussy and excessively angular. No doubt it will look somewhat better in all black, but it will still be much inferior to the W211.
At this point in time, I'm thrilled with my new 2008 Bluetec , its performance and design (int. and ext.). After seeing various spy shots of the W212, the next generation E Class could well prove be a disappointing design in comparison to the W211.
BMW certainly screwed up their 5 Series by introducing the E60, which will surely go down as one of BMW's all time ugliest designs.
Let's hope that MB doesn't screw up the next E Class design.

It's possible that MB is disguising the interior with mock plastic covers similar to how manufacturers disguise the exterior of their upcoming vehicles (as seen in many spy photos).

even if design is quite old, i've seen the current/new steerings wheels and i'm NOT a fan. i have the w210 e55 and i still think it's got the classiest steering wheel. i also agree w/ the others that MB's heading toward the BMW route w/ the center display - perhaps functional, but certainly not very attractive.
