Rayscar Sighted on Bonneville Salt Flats!!!
Rayscar was last sighted on the Bonneville Salt Flats. He was clocked at 148 MPH in his Pewter/Stone E500. His last known position before that was a day or two ago on I-70 in Maryland, a highway known for being so deserted that high speeds can be attained without fear of police apprehension. He was quoted at the Salt Flats to say: " I only wish I had a wireless web access so I could tell my friends on MBWorld's W211 forum how much fun I am having". He is reported to be heading to the trials of the Grand Prix in Monaco in the next few days. He is reported to have said: "I will be riding in the hold of the ship in my E500 'cause I can't bear to leave it for that long".
Perhaps while aboard ship or soon after arriving in Europe, Rayscar will be able to get a message back to us!!!!!

On the road or the flats?
The actual salt flats where the speed tests are done are off the main travelled highway. Was he merely on the main highway which cuts through the desert in that area?

Uhm, well, let's see, I am not sure. I think MadManAboutTown may have actually caught a picture of Ray. He is travelling so fast that his Pewter/Stone E500 looks smaller and red. Here is a link to the thread where MadManAboutTown posted the picture: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...0&pagenumber=3
What do you think? Maybe Ray will clear all this up when he resurfaces from taping the next E500 commercial.

Rayscar E500 modifications
MadManAboutTown caught a good pic above of a close up of Rayscar showing the initial pursuit by a black and white. But do not worry about Rayscar. He made some modifications to his E500 before going on vacation that you couldn't see in MadMan's photo that should allow Ray to avoid being apprehended. I've managed to capture a photo showing the modifications. So, Rayscar, we won't worry about pesky speeding tickets for you:

I'm back. I had to leave town for a few days due to a family emergency. That's the bad part. the good part is that I spent 12 hours in the car and drove it nearly 800 miles. I'll post my impressions soon.

Welcome back Ray. I hope your family emergency has turned out as well as possible. We missed you. But, your exploits were well tracked and documented, hopefully you will find, in good taste. Be well and take care.

Ray, yes, we do care. As we have the same model, color and equipped car (saving the pano roof) we are sort of "E Brothers" aren't we?

Life is meant to be for fun. I think we could all tell you would be a good sport about it all. Remember, it is never too late to have a happy childhood!!! (That is to be "child-like", not "child-ish").
