How much for oil change at dealer?

I have an 03 E500 that is now out of the free 4yr/50k maintenance period. How much are you guys paying for just an oil/filter change at dealers? Just oil/filter change, nothing else.

If anyone knows of a good dealer & service advisor in the L.A. area please advise as well.

It's never "just an oil change". It is a service B, C,, etc. I never get out for under $450 unless I do the service myself which I have done. Once you know how to use the FSS and pull the service requirments you can do much of the work and save $$.

Agreed! Do it yourself, one- you will probably put in more care when working on your own car and two- wou will save some cash

If you add up the cost of the syntetic oil ,assuming you find the exact grade without driving around ,plus the cost of the filter, and working under the car on your driveway..you really only save "some" cash..

If you guys are getting Mobil Euro spec oil ($6.00/ qt) and Fleece filters ($16)
for under $90 with labor, I 'd say that is a bargain. That is about $70 in parts plus tax. Maybe they get the oil in bulk but I doubt it. I would still prefer to do my own as I like the idea of pulling the drain plug but still, that ain't a bad price.

Is there a place in the Greater Toronto area for an oil change? The dealer near me doesn't do service on the weekend. They are charging $150 plus taxes. Any help would be great.

RE: Oil Change

I just had mine done today.

Excluding "A" service labor, 9 quarts Mobil 1, Fleece Filter, and seal kit ran me $108.41.

Your car holds 8 quarts, so it would have been about $8 or so less for the oil change.
