Many of you may have been reading the EVOTECH ECU thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/221061-evotech-introductory-pricing-w211-e500-e320-ecu-upgrade.html).

Well, I pulled the trigger and had them do my E500. I sent them my ECU on Wednesday and had it back in my car on Friday. Such an unbelievable turn around considering I'm in Maryland and they're in California.

Anyway, I babied the car until it warmed up to operating temperature before I got into her. The car is much more alive now. Throttle response is fantastic, and my butt dyno can feel the difference all the way through the power band. Obviously, it's not E55 power but It definitely feels a couple of ticks faster 0-60 and 0-100

If I nail it from a dead stop, I get wheel spin through most of 1st gear. The car doesn't downshift at the same hilly spots in my neighborhood and it just feels 'better'. Hard to explain but it seems to idle smoother, accelerate smoother, shift better, etc. Not sure how much of these feelings are attributed to my excitement of adding another mod, but the car does feel faster. Again, not mind blowing faster, but faster nonetheless. I have no problems believing their hp claims.

And a special thanks to Adam at EuroElites. The customer service is outstanding. He gave me his direct cell phone number for questions and even called me within 1 hour of me receiving my ECU to make sure that it didn't throw any error codes and to see if I needed any help getting it back in.

I believe that I'm the second E500 on this forum to have done this, so you can add me to the list of satisfied customers.

Please note that I have no affiliation or financial interest in EVOTECH or EuroElites. I met Adam at a drag race event this past Fall and we've been trying to work out a time for me to get this done since then. I'm glad we finally got it done.

Oh, and the ECU removal/install couldn't be easier. I can attach the .pdf on how to do it, for those interested.

Can't speak for Benz-O-Rama, but we've seen 5mpg increase, on highway, on cruise. Keeping the foot a little too far into it on the street to know if there an increase around town/combined driving.

Yep, I've noticed a difference. Unfortunately, it's a lot worse now because I keep gunning the car everywhere I go now.

The ECU removal document will be posted this evening. It's on another computer and I'm getting ready to leave the house.

Somewhere in Mexico...

Donut in Mexico

Sorry for the last 20 seconds, I thought I turned the camera off. Oh, and sorry for using a cell phone but watcha gonna do?

Even with the ESP turned off, it still likes to cut the throttle when you're getting squirlley. I should've done dyno mode but I was starting to build up a crowd from the construction site near by.
