My car is in the shop waiting to be repainted after my someone rear ended me.

I'd like to do my conversion now since I don't have to pay for the paint job. I have a about $1.5k budget for the full kit. Can anyone help me out?

I can do an add on as well but then I would still need to buy a stock rear bumper.

Preferably an AMG kit but I can't see myself doing that with my budget.

Gonna be tough to find a full kit for that little money. Mine was all used AMG parts and it was $3500.00 after paint and install.

Do you have an additional 1500.00 on top of the insurance payout, or does that include the payout? My front bumper got a 1" crack on it and my insurance company paid me close to 2000.00.

I have a total of $2k for parts alone, 500 goes to rear tail lights. hence 1.5k for the front, sides and rear. I can add some additional $$ out of pocket but my car has 70k miles, shelling out too much cash out of pocket just won't be worth it. I plan on getting a CSL55/63 at the beginning of 09" the wife might take this one.

2700 goes to labor and paint.

total I got on my check is $4670 for the damages

You might be close, then. I paid $700.00 for a complete used front E55 clip and I paid $500.00 for an E63 rear clip. The side skirts are most likely going to be a dealer item. I've been searching for close to 5 months now with no luck. If you go with an E63 front clip, it's going to be much more. MUCH! But you shouldn't need $2700.00 for labor and paint. Should be south of 2000.00 for that.

Ebay and junk yards are your best option. There is a guy selling an E55 rear bumper on here. His username is diminchi, I believe.

Good luck!

I just remembered, if you go with an AMG rear, you're gonna need exhaust too.

Here's how mine turned out and the price list:

Ok just got back from the shop, I have $2k for the entire kit and I don't have time....

Was thinking this, do an 07" sports bumper and trunk finisher upgrade, add a roof and trunk spoiler and keep it clean?

YAH? NAY?

2nd option, after market lorinser kit? I can have that for just under my budget?

I need to make a decision by Monday.

Dannieboiz - I'm in the process of getting an AMG kit for my '03 E500 sport, and will be selling my factory kit. I won't have any parts off by monday though. If you don't mind waiting, we can work something out. I'm in the Bay Area.

I'm PM'ing u with my #, call me ASAP lets talk.

BTW: I found a complete E55 front end locally as well for $800.

Perhaps I can do that and buy aftermarket rear and sides. The shop I'm working with is pretty good at fitting aftermarket kits.

I figured the front is the most fragile part the rear and side isn't going hit anything.

Any thoughts?
