'09 E550 with LED daytime running lights?

'09 E550 with LED daytime running lights?
Ive noticed quite a few of the '09 E-classes with what looks like LED daytime running lights when the car is equipped with HID lights. Is it possible that all of the owners changed to aftermarket bulbs, or does this come with the light package now? Alot of the people I see driving these cars are older so I don't think they would swap anything out....Also, if they are OEM, is it possible to retrofit those bulbs into older headlights?

It comes with it. I've always wondered if I could buy these OEM ones and put them on my 04. The 07+'s with P2 have these.

The only LED lights I have seen (apparently) was in a picture of the 2010 version of the E Class. It showed a string of LEDs in the lights located in the lower bumper. On my car those are the lights that one light turns on when I am making a right or left turn at night, acting as a cornering light. My car (07) has a lamp with bulb, the one in the picture has a hockey stick shaped array of LEDs. This might be a pic of an AMG styling treatment.

OP is correct-----the new E's with lighting package have LED running lights----they look great----They are NOT removable and would require the purchase of the headlamp to retrofit......

I think I saw one the other day. No biggie, just looks brighter so they almost match the HID's. Maybe I'm the only person not all so impressed with the LED craze
