New E350 WAGON Lease/purchase:
What is the deal with the 350 wagons ??? Dealer tells me the lease for the wagon is about 50% more per month than the equivalent sedan. Looks like the $6,000 dealer cash is only on the sedans, nothing on the wagons. Makes it really really hard to lease a wagon. Are the wagons being discounted much to sell outright ??? Are they disounted at other times of the year ??? THANKS.

I can't speak to the current finance/lease offers, but historically, wagons have been produced/brought to USA in FAR LESS NUMBERS, which has kept demand extremely high. THere has never been a need in the past to discount or provide incentivized lease/finance offers to move wagons.
To this point, when i took mine in for service the other day, the lot was absolutely brimming with every model/trim level MB makes, but they did not have a SINGLE wagon in stock.
Good luck.

The E63 Wagon has a $6000 factory incentive on it at the moment.
Not sure why the E350 Wagon doesn't, while the E350 sedans do, but it probably has something to do with the fact that the next gen E350 sedan appears in the US in June, while the next gen wagon is presumably something like a year later.
So if the OP wants to wait, there should eventually be deals on the E350 wagon.

MB must be offering bigtime trunk money on these, although no special lease or finance rates. These will be 2 years old very shortly, you'd think they'd offer fantastic deals simply to unload them

I don't think they ever had incentives for either buying, financing or leasing an E class W211 wagon. As others have said, they are imported in very small numbers, so MB doesn't need incentives to move them off the lot. At a typical dealer, they'll have maybe 60 or more E class cars, of which only 1-2 are wagons. When it comes to leasing, the slightly higher price of the wagon, lack of incentives, and slightly lower residual value translate into much higher monthly cost. If you want a wagon, you may as well buy it and keep it a long time. Oh, and if you want one with leather, you'll pretty much have to order it and wait three months while they build it.

So, regardless of how few are imported, those few aren't "flying" out of dealerships.
If offered the right deal, I'd grab one to replace my V70

I've found that the listings provided by third parties such as Autotrader are very inaccurate, especially when it comes to leftover cars. If they do have a lot of wagons in inventory, then an incentive may be imminent.

DGMW, Beautiful cars, rugged, reliable, spirited and safe.
OTOH, Volvo makes the best wagon for the money, unless MB gives DEEP discounts.
