Noob saying hello

Hi all, haven't really said hello yet so figured I should. Picked up an 06 E350 about 4 weeks ago and have been enjoying it immensely. Was a little reluctant to come back to MB after hearing quite a lot about reliability problems. After doing some research it looks like MB has improved quite a bit over the last couple of years so gave them a new look and here I am.

My last MB was over 10 years ago and since then it's been mostly BMWs but I was getting frustrated with continual repairs so after 4 disappointing experiences, no more Beemers for a while. Took me several month to find this one including a flight to L.A. which didn't work out. Ended up finding this one locally as luck would have it.

Anyway, hello and looking forward to learning more about this great car and adding some personal touches. Cheers!

Welcome aboard sailor. The 06 model is a good one, so you made a good choice. Enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome! Nothing too dramatic planned, I've ordered a trunk lip spoiler, want to get some clear front marker lights and then some 07-08 sport rims. That'll be it for while. Wanna sell yours? Would love to do an 07-08 face-lift but that is probably not in the cards.

I recently came back to Benz ( 2 months ago) after Audi...and jeeze it's great to be back. No regrets!!! My last MB was a 98 E430 that I had from 00-02. It was slammed pretty good on some 18" monoblocks. I actually still miss that car like crazy, even with my new one. Anyway, welcome. What color is the car?

Alabaster with Stone interior. Question, is there a difference between the singe 5-spoke wheel shown on your car and the split 5-spoke as far as weight or width? Is one more desireable other than appearance?

The wheels I have come with one of the packages I have..not even sure which one really...but it goes with the SLIGHTLY lower body kit that mine has...I BELIEVE the appearance package. This also includes grey wood inside and the blue tint. Like I said I havent had it long so I havent really nerded out on it yet

Had a chance to look at some split 5-spokes yesterday and the width and off-set are identical. I weighed them on a digital bathroom scale(so take the accuracy with a grain of salt) and the single-spoke looked to be about 2 lb lighter.
