DIY: OEM Alloy Pedals

Part Numbers:
Accelerator: 170-300-00-04
Brake: 170-290-01-82
E-Brake: 230-430-00-84

I couldn't believe it when I walked away from the parts counter with a $50.00 invoice. This is the cheapest dealer experience I've ever had! Fast forward two months and my lazy @ss finally decides to install the pedals.

I read the instructions in this thread... OK... couldn't be easier. Then I realize I'm at my in-laws and tools here are scarce! FACK.

Instructions:
1) Crack a <insert beer of choice> and sip
2) Peel off rubber e-brake and brake pedals
3) Take a healthy sip
4) Slip-on new alloy pedals
5) Take another sip and admire the fact you're half way there!
6) Remove pin from top of gas pedal (pry using flat-head screwdriver)
7) Peel off rubber gas pedal from the top
8) Lightly spray WD40 on pedal assembly
9) Slip-on new alloy gas pedal top down and toss in the pin
10) Slam beer and pat yourself on the back BOOYEEAH!!

Would those parts be the same for any W211 ? I have an 06 E350, would certainly put a set of those on! Peace!

Hey, Cuz...I'd be willing to bet in the affirmative on that one. Also note that the pedals are coming from 2 different models - to fit onto a third model (the W211).

Thanks for the part numbers. I've done that since my W210 '99 E320. I haven't had a chance to do it on the W211.

Bought it off Ebay...

The seller (DCT) is actually registered on this site and has a few active threads in the W211 forum, one of them being for the DTM steering wheel. There's a bunch of E55 owners (incl. shift buttons) that purchased this wheel as well.

To date the steering wheel has been one of my favourite mods! The quality of the leather, feel and craftsmanship is amazing. They're made in Taiwan but I swear it feels like they're made in Italy.

Highly recommended

Absolutely night and day

One of the first things I noticed was the shape of the wheel, Its pretty thick and has more of an oval versus circle feel. In addition, the underlay they used is softer feeling common with quality aftermarket steering wheels. I love the raised white stitching and the shape of the hand cutouts at the 10/2 o'clock position are much more aggressive.

Overall I'm extremely happy with the look, feel and the fact it updated the look of my interior... This is my 2nd (and last) aftermarket steering wheel and couldn't be happier!

I have a question:

What is the part number for the dead pedal? That's the one I want!

The oem pedals (actually they're pedal covers) have rubber lips around the outside that you'll have to stretch to get them around the steel pedal plates (obviosly, once the orig pedal covers are removed).

I believe all the other aftermarket pedal products require that the steel pedal plates be drilled so you can screw the new covers onto the plates.

I know you were asking TopEndS62...but I walked into Prestige in Paramus for mine (I figured you keyed in on his profile note of being in Bklyn).
