How many miles on your W211?
I just changed jobs from one that put about 28k a year on my car to one that will only put about 8k or less. Now those milestones will be a long time wait
2) mileage=57,000
3) mechanical problems=rear window shade does not work
4) electrical problems/items that do no function: driver door does not open when in possension of the key (keyless go), all other doors work, TPS not working
Still running strong, 38-40 mpg.
Needs a couple of glow plugs, tranny makes a bit of noise and slightly jerks when accelerating.
Have replaced ball joints, and control arms. (to be expected)
Also replaced water pump, and a couple of fuel line connected to the fuel filter.
One front spring rusted in-half. Replaced both.
Two sets of rotors, and 3 sets of pads. Five sets of tires.
Side marker bulbs.
According to dealer/World Wide Motors, tranny connector supposed to be leaking- not repaired, but it's been leaking for 150,000 miles....no evidence on the floor...
Other minor stuff I can't remember, like air filters, fuel filters, etc.
Other than that- a great runner. Just made a 2000 mile r/t averaging 39 mpg.
It is now at 175 K. I know I am looking at a huge bill for catch up work though.
89000 miles
Heater Valve replaced, front cv boots replaced, valve cover gaskets replaced, secondary battery replacement, rumble seat latch handle replaced, tranny sensor, brake pads all around.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
2) ~57,000
3) Cabin temp sensor thinks car is 96 degrees inside. LOL. great for summer / AC. Will prob get that one fixed come winter.

recently got new rear brakes and spark plugs but that is maintenance--don't think of that as "problems"

Usual stuff for scheduled maint. plus tires and a new windshield (very large stone in the center).2004 E500
All struts ( Very costly) ( $2200 each)
Valve gaskets
Battery (2x)
Alternator
Rear light harness
Brakes 1x ( Full rotors ) 4x pads
A/C compressor/evaporator 1x and now acting up again-
Repeatedly the motor mounts break- $500 each ( there are 4)
Several minor annoying issues abound- Roof (pano) will not open- dealer quoted $5000 to repair- Rear screen stuck up Dealer quotes $1500 to repair...
I have religiously done regular maintenance but over all I am disappointed in the "non-major" mechanical failures. I was almost going to buy an S class in 2004 but a friend told me of his issues and commented the E was used as a taxi in Europe so probably a lot more reliable- Geez

The E's I saw in Europe were 4 cy or 6 cy no air suspension, no sbc brakee, no sliding roof of any type. The E cab was basic car dont' remember if they had auto or std didn't look that close.
2. 52,000
3. replaced vanity mirror micro switch, can't get the garage door opener to work (might be me), small bubble on console fabric (researching the fix), no mechanical problems (looking forward to none).

Engine ECU/Computer Died;

both headlight bulbs replaced-separately;
battery in trunk replaced;
water leak repaired in trunk lid joint above license plate;
sunroof seal replaced due to leaking water;
Keyless Go function for locking & unlocking drive side doors in KAPUT;
Keyless Go function for passenger side doors fail more than work correctly;
