How many miles on your W211?
2. 133000
3. In warranty: Ball joints, autobox valve chest, power steering pump
Out of warranty: Alloy wheels corroded, Alternator failed, water pump, aux belt tensioner.
Over here in the UK they are popular with the taxi drivers and there's plenty with 400k miles or more on them - keep them serviced and fix them when they break and the basic chassis and engine will run forever. Interiors seem very hard wearing too.

I checked on True Delta and my list is longer than any other. I was wondering if "I" bought the dog but it looks like there may be more barking out there. Really too bad because I really like the car but hate the 200 mile drive for service on 3000 mile failures.
247.000 Km (brought it last year July, with 207.000 Km on it)
since then, I have to replaced the SAM module twice, and passenger door automatic look.
beside, no issues (knocking on the wood)
Could you please post pictures of the places you put the sealer? Also, a picture of the sealer might also be helpful. I might just seal that mart on my car and see if it makes a difference.
Thanks!
Steve

Free repairs under original warranty:
Issues (from the factory):
Noisy SBC pump, not broken but upgraded and has been quiet ever since.
(25 miles) Front right inner drive axel ring seal leaking fluid. Replaced and aligned the car, has been fine ever since.
(At about 7,000 miles) driver’s door lock would not unlock when temperatures were bellow -10 F. The unit was replaced and has bee fine ever since.
Software updates on COMAND unit.
(At about 25,000 miles) driver’s side ball joint, replaced. I later complained so that they would also replace the other side. The car has bee quiet since then. The sunroof was also not working with the one-touch function. They replaced a control module and it fixed the problem.
(At about 35,000 miles) my A/C control cluster would be dead for a few second. Whole control unit was changed. I have not noticed if it has done this again. It was not that serious. Some of my wood panels cracked and were replaced under warranty (the cracks were not that visible). Common problem here in Colorado due to the dry climate and huge temperature changes in a day.
(At about 40,000 miles) The little caps in the center where the fog light bulbs are have fallen and they are loose in the fog light reflector. They fixed the problem, but they have fallen off again. I have not decided if I am going to fix this because you have to really look at them to notice. Has anyone had this issue?

(Now at around 53,000 miles) The A/C blower motor sometimes shuts off for 30 seconds and then turn on again. The power transistor was changed. This problem happened about once a month, so I don’t know if it is fixed. The passenger side rear view mirror was not returning to the original position after it tilted down in reverse. I got a new memory module.
The car developed the faintest rattle in the drive’s door where the power seat buttons are. Not covered under warranty, but I did not get a bill yet. Maybe they fixed it free of charge because my dealer is nice.
There were some other minor things that I might be forgetting. I am very picky about my cars and none of these issues required a drive to the dealer just to have them repaired. I got them taken care of along with normal service. So it really was not an inconvenience. I imagine some people would not notice some of these things. The car has actually been quite good though.
I have on my own already done:
Transmission, center differential and front differential fluid changes at 26,000 miles.
Now at about 52,000 miles I had the coolant flushed (distilled water and Super Cool were added) and the rear differential was serviced. The batteries have never gone dead and they just tested as OK (they are 5.5 years old now).
BTW, I am still with 55% brakes left at 52,000 miles! I do wear out tires within about 24,000 miles though.
~101,000 miles (99% highway)
No major issues
Still on 1st set of brakes (Pad thickness: 7mm front, 6mm rear)
~60,000 miles on current tires (Goodyear TripleTred)
Still gets good mileage (40mpg only with tail-wind)
Scheduled maintenance is costly due to ~30k miles/year (lots of dealership visits).

At 88,000 miles I am on tire set #4 Michelins.
Conti's, Bridg, Coopers, Michelins. Whew finally found tires that would wear even, drive straight and not cup out.
Dah,, isn't that just the basics of a good tire.
P.S. Please take a moment to participate in the reliability survey.

Transfer case replaced under warranty. Dealer was top notch about it. Other than that, she takes a beating of about 180 miles a day and doesn't give me any trouble. Great car.
