Auxiliary battery cover clips 2006 E350

Hi. I've been using the fora for a while to maintain my car and it's been a life saver on many occasions. Recently, I lost my GPS and Tele-Aide, which lead to a "gutting" of the rear electronics, glass, etc. I have everything back together minus 2 "clips" or fasteners. I'm looking for an MB part number for the "binders" that go through the carpet, into a foam insulator over the aux battery. The 'stealers' been unable to identify them and any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Carpet near the auxiliary battery? I'll admit I'm new, but having just replaced the cabin filter over the auxiliary battery, I can't think of any carpet since it is in the engine bay.
The main battery is in the rear trunk under the carpet. Do you have a picture of the area you are talking about?

You're exactly correct. I should have written, main battery, in the boot- pass side.

Thanks

This diagram may help, choose corresponding number of part in question if seen and I will post part #.

Konigstiger,
Thanks for the help. Both the MB parts department rep. and myself used this plate (and a number of other pages from the cat.) without success. On the "northwest" side of "100" is the battery and it's covered with a rigid foam insulator. All of this covered with the carpeted, shoddy pad lower deck piece. There are 2 holes in the top that I think would accept a button. The button or fastener that would go in those holes is what I'm after. See attached.
Thanks again all.

Oh the trunk liner pin. Just go to pepboys or kragen. They have something similar. Those are just regular liner pin.

I would still like to figure out where it is in the EPC figure.

EPC Online has what appears to be the same parts diagram for my '04 E500. In that diagram Item 145 is listed as

PUSH BUTTON
ATTACHMENT TO LOAD FLOOR, REAR

QTY 002.

Part number for that is A001 988 58 51. It might be worth having the parts department check into that as a possibility.

It's rather confusing in the drawing. If Item 145 is just a button fastener, it's way out of scale with the rest of the drawing, which of course it has to be to show any detail at all. But the way it's presented there's no way to tell that. A similar diagram in the Russian site (e.g., http://tinyurl.com/ley636) shows the item as an inset, which to me makes more sense.

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm still hoping for an MB part number, assuming one exists. There's an open "work order" on the car, e.g. a Cinci dealer will provide them assuming they can identify them. In our family we have a 2004 e320 4matic and this 2006 e350 4matic. Both have been great cars that we'll keep until the warranty expires. This is a good example, warranty- covers the "problem" but there are often missing pieces and such, associated with the fix. Some dealers have been better than others and ultimately they always make it right, but it's a matter of the amount of input required by me. In this case, they caused me a enough headache, (scuffed paint, damaged eninge cover, multiple trips, etc.) that I really want them to provide the missing parts. The car went in with them and I'd like it to leave with them. Not to make too fine a point of it...Compared to other cars we've had I'm thrilled with the entire MB experience. But I know to read my manual and to be ready to decline the myriad "intermediate" fluid changes and to cajole to get the job competed to my satisfaction.
Thanks again everyone for the help and I'd still appreciate a part number or description that will point me in the right direction. Is it a button, knob or 2 part deal- if anyone thinks to look in their boot, I'd be grateful.

Cheers

CJD

Have you checked the 04 to identify missing part?

DanG2, Konigstiger, everyone thanks for the input. I'll follow up on the suggestion for part number A001 988 58 51 and see where that takes me. The '04 is with the boss out of state. She's taking care of her pop, and he's not in great shape, so understandably, she's not in a very good place. I could ask and she'd do her best to describe it, but I'd still be guessing without a #. The parts guy has assured me, he's been sleuthing while cars in the shop and I think he's sincere, but neither of could find a decent diagram w/part, hence I posted the question. And indeed I have an answer; thanks all.

For what it's worth;

Checked it with the MB parts department and while A001 988 58 51 wasn't a number they recognized, A001 988 58 81 was and considered to be the buttons I've been after...
Thanks again DanG2, I wouldn't have made it this far without the help.
