Alarm not working

Hi Guys,

Looks like the speaker for my alarm is dead. If I set off the alarm in my car, the lights blink but I dont hear any sound.

Also, I had my car coded to chirp anytime I locked/unlocked doors, it stopped beeping as well. Is there an external speaker that may have gone bad? has anyone have this problem belfore or part number that i can get this replaced?

thx,
alf

You can get it online at parts.com for around $105. I bought from a dealer for $117.

It was pretty easy to install, just take out the inner wheel well on the driver side (half closest to driver) and there is a metal box housing with the alarm.

Early today my windows was rolled down in the garage, I reached inside to open the door since the key was inside and the alarm went off, I grabbed the key to turn off the alarm. Everything worked as is, later on in the day I went to open the door and no chirp, no chirp when locking either. I then tried the panic button and the alarm sounds like it is shorting out, what crap IMO. Is there and updated part number or is the one above still valid?
