Sirius satellite Radio "No SAT"

I just replaced my beloved w124 with a 2007 E350. Sirius radio activation is giving me a little bit of hassle...called up Sirius six times but no luck with the ESN number and bunch of triggering signals , car park in an open field. Although I notice there is a message "No Sat" on the speedometer display. Do I have to reset the media unit or what?
My navigation works perfect.

Not certain but wasn't Sat radio an option in 07?? If so maybe your car does not have it. I would check with a dealer and perhaps he can assist you in resolving this issue. I do know that on my 06 ML500 I had a SAT button on the command but did not have the Sat option.

Please reread OP's post. If he has an ESN number he has the necessary unit.

Starting point would be to check the SDARS connections behind right side trunk panel.

07's do not use a splitter...unless someone installed the old style antenna. Also if it says "NO SAT" and not "Acquiring Signal" the AGW is not seeing the SDAR.

I know CIA and FBI but what the heck is AGR or SDAR. I am a rookie as far as this car is concerned. Is there something I can somehow reset using the multi display unit? Or shall I just punt the ball and let the Mercedes Benz of Escondido deal with it since it's covered by warranty?

Take care.

Haha, SDAR-sat radio unit, AGW-audio gateway...didn't mean to screw you up. Of course, if you got warranty take advantage of it!

MBZ of Escondido (CA) replaced a defective satellite "control module"....I'm a happy camper.
