What tires did your W211 come with?

I am curious about tire quality and what is good and bad as far as replacements and original equipment on our cars. I don't know too much about tires so I figured this thread may be interesting. I know people talk about Michelin as they are the standard for quality and I have heard people talk poorly about Conti in my experience in this forum.

What did your W211 come with?

Mine came with Dunlop unidirectional tires (17 inch rims). I have an 06 E350 capri blue metallic. Anyone know if these are any good?

mine came with continetals, they had good wear life 50K miles, but were no good in the rain. I replaced them last year with the Toyo Versada V rated. No comparison they do every thing better than the Conti's, they even got me home in the big snow storm in the northeast last friday, and the price is great, i was originally looking at the lastest michelins, but the place did not have in my size and they were more expensive too...

All of my MB came with Michelins. No complaints about them. Rain, shine, snow whatever the grip level has been pretty good.

Same here. Michelins.
After 22000 miles they still look like new. I recently changed to a staggered 19" setup with Falkens; oem rims and tires are now on a Tire Rack above the garage door. When the time comes I'll probably replace Falkens with Michelins.

I picked up my car Dec. 2002. Most cars on the lot came with Michelins. Some came with other brands. My car was a special order, but came with the "other brand". I asked that they put the Michelins on my car.

Mine came with Conti's but after using 2 brands (as good as Michelin's) that were taken off at 10,000 miles I now use only Michelin PS2's. And have switched my other vehicles car / truck to michelin's also.

I bought my 2003 E500 CPO vehicle with 21k miles had the original Conti's installed. I only drove the vehicle about three months and the tires needed replacement. I bought Pirelli all seaons but after one year/10k miles, they started to be noisey and I replaced them with a set of Yokohama all seasons which lasted about three years......they were smooth and quiet. I did a lot of research plus others on this forum recommended Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 which I installed last July and they're great so far........quiet, smooth ride and hug the road very well.

Mine, bought in August 2009 came with Contis. If I get 40K miles from these, I'll replace with the same.
