where did you all get your extended warranties?
from lurking on this forum it looks like my car's going to need work soon.
what companies do you all use? how has your experience been?
The only gripe is that they only covered 1.9 hours for the crank sensor, but MB of Austin wanted 2 hours. I had to pay the difference--$12. Dealer said that Mercury was one of the better ones to deal with. Of course, YMMV.
As a point of reference, start with an MB dealer. If your car is still covered by the new car warranty (48 months or 50K miles), you can buy additional MB coverage. No deductible. They may also sell an aftermarket (non-MB) plan which is cheaper, has a deductible, more limited coverage, etc.
Let us know what you end up with.

Here's one that runs from October 2008 to March 2010 !! https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...mendation.html
You'll get gazillion hits with a search. It's probably one of the most talked about issues on MBWorld.

I cannot tell you how many times I have dealer with customers aftermarket warrantys and the warranty company never wants to pay. The pay you nowhere close to your labor rate, they want you to buy used parts or non OEM parts, they limit the amount that can be claimed at any one time, they charge you multiple deductibles, etc. I have seen it all. Then, one day, a customer came in with a warranty that was nothing like that, it was wonderful to deal with. I started recommending that my customers get it and it was always a joy to work with. Now, I sell it with confidence because I know how good it is.
If you are looking for a warranty than give me a call and let me get you a quote. If you want to make sure that your shop will accept it you can have them give me a call and I will go over it with them too.
