E550 4MATIC CPO WITH TIRE BUBBLE
I bought a CPO 07 E550 4matic about 11.5 months ago. When I bought the car, it came with 4 new tires. I just noticed a bubble in the rear tire. There is no wheel damage in any way, and I don't recall hitting any bad bumps.... Do you think this should be covered by either the dealer or the tire mfg warranty?
Thank you
Thank you

Very unlikely a covered repair. Bubble is 99% of the time due to impact damage to tire, most often from low tire pressure. Very important to have it replaced as sidewall is compromised.
Talk to SA at dealer and see if they installed new tires. If they are a participating dealer in MB Tire Program, all tires sold come with a 2 year road hazard insurance. May or may not be something they can help with....

The tires were brand new. I just called and the SA said they don't think that it is covered... This is without a doubt the worst MD dealer in the entire USA. I have had nothing but horrible customer service from them every time I have ever dealt with them. What can I do to see if this is actually covered? They are owned by The Penskie Co. The dealership is Inskip in Warwick, RI

Although the dealer does not cover the tires, the tire manufacturer has warranty on the tires. Ask the service rep to send the tire back to the tire manufacturer for a free (or prorated) replacement, unless they can prove that you'd hit a pot hole, otherwise, it's a manufacturer defect.
I've purchased tires from America Discount Tires before. In one instance, all 4 tires had cracks after 10k mi. I went back to the tire dealer and got 60% (prorated through the tire manufacturer) money back toward the purchase of new tires.

I called MBUSA Tire Program directly and they told me that the tire is in fact under warranty for the 2 years. 1st year is replacement and the 2nd is pro rated. After not receiving a return call from the Service Manager, I called back and got him on the phone. He said "I have to do some research" He told me that even though they are a MBUSA Tire Program Retailer, they may not have bought the tire from MBUSA, therefore it may have no warranty. The tires were put on new on 12-08-09, so it falls within the first year by a few days.
What can I do??? I am so mad with this dealer, it makes my blood boil...!

This is why I didn't take the MB CPO tire and wheel warranty.. I wanna get rid of the all seasons that came with it and replace it with some real performance tires along with the warranty from a real tire dealer.. I had 3 bubbles on my last car in 3 years..

Talk to the service manager (not the service rep) at that dealership to see if he can give you a free replacement or prorated under the CPO program or tire manufacturer warranty. Don't deal w/ the same service rep anymore. If they don't treat you like a customer, tell him you're going to write a review on yelp.com and take your car to another dealership. If that doesn't solve the problem, take the car to another dealer. The CPO is good at any dealership.

As SZMB said, make threats about taking your car to another dealer. The new and CPO warranty repairs are like gold to the service departments, and they don't want to lose that business of charging the manufacturer.
