E63 conversion
Finally ordered my E63 bumper for conversion (w/o parktronics and washer holes). It took a while to get the bumper but now I have to order the rest of the parts. Looking forward to getting this completed. It does have two cracks at the bottom though. I wonder how much additional this is going to cost me. I will keep you posted.

I'm about to do this on my E500, already got the bumper, do you need to replace the wheel well liner with the liner of an E55 to match up with the bumper?

No I didn't have to change the wheel well liner for the bumper.
The only thing I had to do was modify the rubber bumper re-inforcements on the e55 bumper. Then install new pigtails for the fog lights (since the fogs on the e55 have different connectors).
It took me awhile to figure out why the bumper brackets weren't snapping in. That's when I got to modifying the bumper
Once modified, re-installing the bumper brackets was a snap. Here are the pictures I took that help explain it. I had to modify both the driver and passenger side reinforcements.

Can you elaborate on the pigtails, I heard the fogs for the AMG bumper are different. Where can I get an adapter?

The hardest part is rearching and locating the parts. Parts.com is asking for a vin# number for the remaining E63 parts I ordered and being that I have 07 E350 Im wondering if I should just give them that one. A lot of these threads helped out a great deal but actually the bumper was the hardest part to locate. Either people are asking way too much or its in horrible condition. I saved a lot of money doing a lot of the labor myself, only thing additional I have to pay someone for was the paint and I had a paint booth I would do that myself too (just kidding).

I hear you. With all my own retrofits I face the same issue. Often EPC even isn't a great help. One of the worst things in locating the correct parts in EPC is that MB issues the same part number for different parts and you can hope then that you order the correct one.
Finally done!
