Are you running staggered on your 4matic?

As for me, as the bad weather rolls in I decided to keep the E550 garaged and did my regiment of complete wax strip down with an emulsifying detergent, thorough wash with a pressure washer, wet-dry process, acrylic paint sealant, 2 layers of carnuba wax blend, then a hardener. I try to do this once a month or once every two months to keep it protected. Not too bad for a middle of the winter detail job (don't mind the terrible cell phone picture and wood working equipment in the garage):
Had to replace the crankshaft position sensor in a parking lot! Taking my son to daycare car died on me with out any warning signs! then I told my wife about it and she said the car cut off on her too a couple of day earlier but she didn't bother to tell me about it!
A lot of retailers won't sell you 4 fronts, but you CAN go staggered if you want to as long as front to back you are withing 1/10th inch rolling diameter. Might increase understeer a little bit but won't be too bad if you have adequate rubber in the front anyway. There are a lot of recent threads and posts about this by the way.
Replaced fuel sending unit/filter and fuel pump last week. Car feels soooooo much happier now. The fuel pump was making a loud noise when in position 2. My fuel pressure was dropping instantly when the car was turned off. It was running this way for months before I just bit decided to go ahead and replace both the pump and sending unit.
Not a hard DIY at all. I used original MB parts and still came in at less than half the dealer price.
Someone started this thread on Xoutpost (BMW) and it has been wildly fun and successfull
I took off all tires and scrubbed them inside and out. Cleaned all the brake, suspension, and wheel wells. Scrubbed for over 2 hours just on that alone. I then put a tire dressing (not a greasy shiny one) all over the plastic parts. Looks amazing, like it just came off the assembly line . Then I treated the leather with Zymol Treat. Next up: clay bar, swirl remover, polish, and wax wax wax. About 7 hours to go.

500+ post later I'd say this thread is a success. Thanks!
Deleted my resonator yesterday and there's a little change on the sound I want more deep tone any advice before I go to next step. (delete the sec. cat.)
Deleting the secondary cat will make it raspier I've heard, doesn't sound too great. Not sure how muffler + resonator delete will sound on an E350 but might be worth a try.
Hey Guys, I need advice I'm planning to lowered my 07 E350 next week but I don't know what lowering spring should I get and I don't want a super low. Any advise?
Welcome to the forums, sick wheels. beejaypunsalan will be the person to ask about lowering springs as he has dealt with that quite a bit. One of the brands he was talking about had the car sit too high in the front, not sure if he finally went with H&R or not.
Did you leave the stock amp or upgrade that as well? Did all of that stuff work with the fiber optics already in the car?
Everything works fine I just lost steering wheel controls which is no big deal to me, I put in new amps as well left the stock one in tact but it's not doing anything, overall I'm pretty satisfied tho
Very nice, part of me wants to pony up the money to do all Focal speakers and maybe a higher power aftermarket amp but I really wish Bang&Olufsen or Burmester offered just speakers, though part of what makes their systems so great is the tuning they do for each individual car.
So I'll probably just keep the Harman/Kardon Logic 7 until it gets replace by a new car

There's a lot of fakes out there. Good luck trying to find a good one. Amazon sells them also, but they mix in their stock with people who do the fulfilled by Amazon so you might get a real one or you might get a fake one. At this point, you should probably replace them in pairs as the new one will be brighter than the old one.
So I decided to tackle the side mirror seals on my 03 W211, thought it would be much harder than it was. But anyways, I have pics, so if anyone wants a write up let me know.

Theretrosourcefit.com is the place to go when it comes to HID needs.
^Awesome sig pic man, love the wheels, remind me what they are again? Forgestars?
As for what I did for my W211 yesterday, I scheduled an appointment for Friday (today) to take the car in at 8am for warranty work on the fuel sender unit and associated components, hopefully no more gas smell on full tank!
