I just installed supercharger pulley and tune, car runs strong and around town driving has smoothed out a bit. Your pulley should slide right on with minimal force. Helps if both shaft and pulley are same temp.... Use the two extra shims that come with the pulley. Torque and lock tight that supercharger bolt , tune the biatch and done. Since I am basically stock with minor mods should be fine. The guys really pushing high HP numbers and beating the crap outta their cars do have problems, I'll let you know if I do. EC great service and support for their product. As far as modifying cars goes I've been doing it since I could drive.. 21 years ago. When working on my 5.0 back in the days I knew in messing with timing, fuel pressure etc. could have bad results, it's part if tinkering Be good to your motor listen to her and you should be good. Beat her down run her ragged and you are screwed. Been on this forum for over a year, great advice.

If you mean something like this... please don't do it. I mean it is your car and you can do as you please, but it looks cheap and tacky for a Mercedes.

Welcome to the forums btw.

2009 E350, 1969 SD220,
Thanks For the heads up... Well appreciated. But I already started the process (parts already gotten) When I get it done, I'll give it a test run for a couple months. If I don't feel good about them I'll replace them...
Thanks also for the welcome greetings... Looking forward to sharing and learning from the group.

Yeah welcome to the forums! I don't think they look too terrible but as Lemon Squeezy said they have some quality control issues, the main thing is leaks when it comes to driving in heavy rain and such. Just be cognizant and a good way to test it is pressure wash the car and see if you get any moisture build up inside the housing.

You *really* shouldn't be running them on the M272 or M273 engine from what I understand, the oils from the filters collect on your MAF sensor and will foul it. Expensive part and no way around it, you might be fine for a year or two but down the line it's not going to be healthy for your engine. This is what I've been told by every Mercedes tech I've talked to, however there is still some debate over it. A lot of the E55 guys use them just because they don't have a MAF sensor so it's generally safer.

You get the point. Now granted some of this has to do with user error and such but K&N filter technology is probably not the best idea on these cars.

Can't the MAF sensor be removed and cleaned with a MAF sensor cleaner spray?

Lol. Video of what? The installation? Or sound? I had a Remus muffler on my w203 C230 Kompressor back in 2005 and it was the sweetest sounding inline 4 I had ever heard. No drone sound at any rpm, just pure tuned exhaust note. Especially in tunnels. Hope this will be no different.

The only thing is, I hate the tips on that thing. I'll probably rub it like it comes for a week to see if I like the sound or not. If it's a keeper, I'll have the muffler shop cut the tips off and fit the stock single amg tips on it.

Well, I installed the exhaust, but it was bitter sweet! So apparently these Remus W211 exhausts are designed only for W211's with no tip cutouts in the bumper. The tips are placed to sit just under the bumper on non facelift W211's. On facelift W211's like my 2009 E350 with the muffler tip cutouts, you can not adjust the hangers low enough to make the mufflers sit high enough so the tips look good in the stock bumper cutouts.

I managed to tweak the hangers to adjust the muffler higher, but I ran into another problem. The top of the mufflers hit the heat shield on top before the tips are high enough to look good.

So the only solution is this. Adjust the mufflers so there is about 1.5" of room on top, cut the oval remus tips completely off, and have the muffler shop fit either new tips, or my stock AMG tips on the remus cans. Im probably going to go with the latter option.

That was the bitter part, now here is the really sweet part.

The mufflers sound absolutely amazing. NO DRONE sound at all at any rpm in the cabin. Heck, with the radio on normal volume, its hard to tell the car has an aftermarket exhaust from inside the car. But its a different story outside, pure orgasmic sound! This is what I love about Remus exhausts on a Mercedes, the sound!

Here is a short clip from different angles. The sound in the video doesn't do the real world sound any justice, but you will get the idea.

And here is a very ****ty enhanced night time pic of how they look on the car in case the video was too dark.
