Please Help: Lock the Key in the Trunk
I just locked the key in the trunk and the spare key is 400 miles away. Any idea to unlock it quicker than mailing the key to me?
Thank you
FYI: I did call at least 10 different locksmiths to come open it. Only one offered to open it without that stupid airbag between the door and roof!!!!! After about 30 minutes of trying, he was not successful.
Sorry.

Keyless go is indeed one of my favorite features and I use it daily. So much so the other day after parking my Volvo, I got out and out of habbit was looking for the keyless go button on the handle.

But with the extensive weather striping, I doubt it'll be as easy as it seems in the video.

same thing happened to me.
i called a locksmith, he got me in the car.
i then went into the fuse box and took out the alarm fuse.
then reconnected it and pressed the "open trunk button" and unlocked it.
very easy
hope this helps!

If they use that air bag, you will never have the same seal on that door again. I hope they didn't
but when the alarm goes off and you get into the car. the button becomes inoperative.
so you have to pull the alarm fuse, once in the vehicle.
then reconnect it and voila!

Also on the question of the fuses and their location, in the interior fuse box, there is a sheet with the fuse map, consuming unit and fuse number.

I can use an air wedge to open the door but that tool will be also in the trunk.

I really long for the days of the keypad on the door. It was great to leave the key locked in the car or trunk. The limited number of fob's prevents a hide a key.
