My first mod of 2012.. E550 No Smoking Edition...

While digging through the forums I came across a user who posted the plastic mat to remove the ashtray and put in the black plastic liner.

Nice little upgrade for $5 if you will never ever use the ashtray..

Tomorrow will be doing the AMG accelerator pedal install and Sprint Booster V.1 install (snagged the one unsold on ebay for under a bill, figured it was worth trying from all the feedback, see how it works with the OEtuning tune)..

I've been wanting one of those mats myself. I took the ashtray out anyway and threw it in the trunk as I have no need for it.

Yep. Where is the 10mm bolt? under the black cap? I've been trying to figure it out.. I keep reading its a 2mn install, but can't find the bolt on E class from the C class instructions..

Also what happens when the accelerator goes all the way down and that button is pressed? does it do anything?

And when I install the pedal? should I remove the cover and just use the new cover, or install the whole assembly I got with the curver lower black piece? it seems from the instructions, I should just take the alum piece, slip it off, WD40 it up and slip it over the old piece.

The 10 mm nut is under this little plastic cover once u remove it the whole pedal comes out, just plug the SB in between the pedal and the car's wiring harness it should take about 2 minutes at the most.

Where did you get the little black mat to put in place of the ash tray?

Ditto. I assume dealer as it is form fit and OEM looking.
