07-09 headlight installation on 06 model ?

I have my heart set on these (http://www.tunersdepot.com/Lighting/...ID--90785.html) so I've been asking every supplier why they wouldn't fit an 06 but haven't gotten a straight answer from anyone. So I was wondering if the mounts are the same? I've been hearing the problem is that they're not plug and play, but that shouldn't be too big of an issue. Anyone know if its true that the plugs are the only difference? If it is, does anyone know where or how I can get conversion wires?

they mount the same just dont plug n play, pretty sure they dont make a conversion harness. its something that you would have to wire up...

They won't plug and play if your car has HID. There are sellers of these on eBay with the HID compatible setup.

well I don't have HID's anyway. but does that mean if I don't have HID (since these are non HID) then they will plug and play? or do I have to figure out how to wire them up anyways?

It might not plug and play but very easy to buy the matching plug either from the dealer or parts.com.

Nope... you have to create a wiring harness. Do a search, there's plenty of threads on it.

I did a search and came up with this one: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...aqdlights.html

I'm sure you can find more.

Yes, it is. It is just changing the plug that original plug to the one that will fit the new headlights. Thats not a harness but a re-wire.

Semantics... regardless... OP, stay away from aftermarket and eBay crap. Go somewhere like oelighting.com and get the factory Hella's for the same price as the cheap aftermarket ones.

Yup, ebay lights that came with the capacitors, etc to make the HID Xenon lights work. 07 to 09 model year lights, but you are right, they were made for the 03 to 05:
