Engine Delete

Considering doing an Engine Delete modification, has anyone done this on a W211 and if so what do you think of the results?

Could you clarify? Deleting the engine? Planning on going Flinstones in the E?

I'm confused.. engine delete sounds like "take engine out", or do you mean like a Sprintbooster type of thing when you say pedal system.

No I want to remove the engine and go full on flintstones. I want to make history with the first pedal-powered E550

I see.. well in that case please donate your engine to me so my sister's clk350 can become a new 550. Or just in case mine blows up and I need a spare..

Replace the hood ornament with a windmill and go with wind power. However, you may need to excuse yourself when you brake as you will be braking (aka breaking) wind.

You'll be fine. All you need to do is slap on some solar panels to power those AAA batteries.

Why bother.

Just put bicycle light generators on each wheel and it will charge as you drive it.

We all know the only problem is MB did not give us the right setting in DAS to activate this option.

That shouldn't even be an excuse to retrofit this option! Post pics of completed car please.

NO, go back AA cells, because you can get them cheap by taking apart 6V lantern batteries.

Absolutely no worries my friend. My E550 actually has an air brake (open doors, head out the sunroof) - a lot of the SBC failure guys used this.
