Looking to buy a 2009 E350 Sport
So... I have a 2013 Audi A4 that I was kind of pushed into leasing. I have the opportunity to get out of my lease with some equity (thank God) in June. I'm looking into the '09 E350 with the AMG package. Any opinions on the car would be a ton of help! Any major issues or problems with the car, do you like it, etc...
Thanks!
Thanks!

I love my 2009 E350. I have 80K on the odo and no problems to report. Make sure you get a carfax report to check the service history. That's about it. The 2009's are way less problematic than say the 2006 and lower years.

mbrace telematics is upgraded and life-time subscription for nominal fee...
life time road assistance - push a button and mbrace picks up - used it when I had a flat.
love my 2009 E350 - only gripe is tire life and the staggered setup.
otherwise, no complaints after 68,000 miles. shocking how long the brakes last - still no brake change...

I thought it was $299 - this was in 2011 when I called them to inquire - it was on this board that I found out about it. This was when MB was transitioning from one telematic provider to the new (and current) one.
There is a transfer fee if you trade in your MB for another MB to continue your lifetime subscription.

The SOS button works on my car. It did not work when I first picked the car up in June. My son was playing in the car & pushed it & I was connected to some type of dispatcher.
From what I understand 07' models & up are solid cars.

I'm still in school as well and I figure that most of my expendable income that doesn't go into savings goes towards my car... and that the list of mods I had planned could be achieved for much cheaper just buying an E63. So I hope I can get one that is mechanically healthy and won't be full of problems, and yeah brake rotors and tires are more expensive but ultimately it's all how you treat the car. I think you can also get cheaper E55 rotors if needed but hoping to find one that isn't down to metal on metal so they won't have to be changed for quite a long time. If it comes down to it I will just eat the cost, but from talking to others TCO isn't drastically higher on the E63 anyway.

Satellite isn't a necessity and I guess I could just go buy one of the adapters.
However, navigation is important. The car does have the full size command screen but in the pictures, the screen says "no nav"

'09 E350 Sport w/AMG 18" wheels-a few complaints.
Basically, I love our '09 E350, but I have a few minor complaints...no such thing as a perfect car, right? Anyway:
relinuca
- My car is the 4Matic, which is equipped with the older 5-speed auto. As a result, its a bit sluggish coming off the line.
- I dislike the 18" AMG wheels. They are very vulnerable to pot hole damage and curb rash...would gladly trade them for the std. 17s".
- The Comand system screen is mounted too low for quick viewing, and the NAV is unnecssarily complex to use.

^ Try the sneaky transmission reset if it's sluggish off the line, and make sure you're in sport mode so you're starting out in first gear. I'm aware you have the V6 but with my car, with the 5G-Tronic as well, it will launch HARD off the line if I want it to, it will smoke an E55 with stock tires just off the line until the AMG gets grip because of 4-Matic. First and second gear are brutal.
