Chrome exhaust tips?
I'm thinking of adding them to my '04 E500. Are they easy to install?
Also, do they cause more dirt to accumulate on the rear bumper?
Exhaust tips
I would prefer to cut the downward tip off of the stockies providing it can then still clear the rear skirt.
He was checking with the German Mfg. to see if the bumper needs to be cut. I would have thought he would have known this off the top of his head.............??
I will report back to the forum when he emails me this week.
Derek.

They took a while to adjust, I wish I had more recent pix to show you. Maybe next week.

The shots on the formymercedes site look different. Your look smaller and the crook bend can be seen ..........I was hoping for less of a bend side shot.............D.
I'd love to do a real exhaust system, but with a lease, just not possible. Or not easily (or cost effective) to undo.
I'm leasing my E500 so I need something that is easily removed to bring the car back to stock for when I turn it back in.

Also, it appears that they make it under and just above the stock rear bumper.
Do you think the quad-exhaust is better than the single as shown on the formymercedes site.
Im very interested in doing this and also in a lease so dont want to a drastic overhaul, just something for appearance. My main concern is that you do not see the curve of the clamp on from the side view of the car.
Recommendations ?
I like curves in certain places but not from the bottom end of the Benz. I would in my opinion keep it stock then see what looks like a 1960's chrome tip add on from a parts store......My 2 cents.
Derek.
Lionhead-- are the exhaust tips on the car you posted, clamp-ons ? If so, where can you get them -- only on e-Buy ?

I think I read somewhere this catback exhaust cost $1,800.00.
As far as quad or dual...its just a matter of taste. I had quad ovals on my Vette then changed to triangular than to dual cannons before I sold it.
In retrospect, they look kinda clunky for my taste and are coming off.
I've taken the plunge and going to install a set of AMG mufflers.
Good luck.
