Brake Pad Sensor 2006 E350 4matic

My mechanic changed the brakes and rotors all around, and replaced the 2 brake pad sensors passenger side front and rear. There is apparently some confusion about whether there are 2 or 4 sensors, but he said there was no place to plug them in on the drivers side. The warning light to check the Brakes, visit workshop light still comes on. He changed the sensors out twice and it keeps happening. Any tips from the forum? Does the idiot light need to be reset somehow? He is a very competent mechanic but doesn't work on many Mercedes.

Welcome to MBWorld! In our parts catalog here I see a sensor for front left and right and right rear. Might have better luck posting your question in the W211 section of the forum here. Good luck!

There are only two sensors (both on right/passenger side) and I do not believe they need to be reset. When I did mine, it was just a matter of unplugging the old and replacing with the new. I used OEM sensors, not sure if its actually any better than aftermarket.

The brake ware sensors are read in to the front SAM, therefore assuming all connections have been checked I would look to the drivers side SAM and a potential issue.

However if your guy does not have the diagnostics----live with it!!

SBC. Run short test and have faults read..... sbc unit needs to probably be updated, which in turn means it'll need to be replaced within the next year or so. Good luck!
