lease swap chance from dealer 2003 to 04
I complained to dealer they are offering me even swap but withot keyless-flat black paint no wood wheel-the wheel is not not a problem- I own it- bought it- can just pay to have switched.
the orig lease was 39 months- I leased in Jan 03-they will let me turn in in 26 months.
do i do it????
is the sport package different from the appearnce package?
all opinions are urgenlty needed
does the 2004 have the same stupid problems the 2003 had?
Great car but tired of sitting in MB service depts.
No $$$ out of pocket
I dont care about the buy out-
but the dmv fees should by a few dollars....???
reg etc like minus $100 or am i worng? its a lease
The buyout could be a source of profit. It they swap the cars and leave the lease alone, the buyout will reflect the old car's original calculated residual. However, the 2004 car is 20,000 miles and a year newer, right? At the end of the lease, you will owe an amount that reflects a 39 month old car with 70,000 miles but yours will actaully be 26 months old and have 50,000 miles.
Maybe I'm not reading this right but I've heard that lease swaps are usually good for the consumer.
the 2004 does not have my original sport package but they will give me appearance package
I was told
they do even swap=my mileage is now ZERO
my dmv fees ( i put up $3900) on pick up for what? i dont know.
26 months later i return the car take the plates and leave
am i missing something?

So, if mileage is now zero and residual is the same as it was before, you are getting a better deal should you decide to buy the car at the end.
how much could the dmv fees be? when i picked up the vehicle i paid like $3900.- for what? i dont remember!
maybe it was rolled into the $3900 or does not exist?
I do know lst month I paid 79.00 to renew reg- and i think/hope
pray that is all
would be out of mind to come home new car-same plates-go to dmv and wind up paying thousands.
tks for all yr help
