Lowering springs for 2008 e320 bluetec?

Hey guys,

I have looked all over and I'd like to find some lowering springs for the bluetec but am having a hard time. What I really wanted was bilateins b12 kit which is a matched spring
I think eibach or H&R with the B8 shocks. Has any one used the e350 b12 kit on a bluetec ? Not sure how the weight difference would effect the performance of the springs. If all else fails I'll use the b6 shocks only . I'm not really interested in the b16 coilover kit.

Thanks for the input,
happy holidays !

Why bother ruining it? The standard suspension on a bluetec is just fine. It's not a sports car... (source: have a chipped one that's fast and handles well enough). Messing with the suspension is just asking for future trouble.

I've had an H&R cup kit and I loved it on my old CLK. I don't think it was ruining the ride at all. It wasn't to firm for my taste and really changed the way the car felt in a sportier way. you are correct there isn't anything wrong with the current suspension. I do have one shock starting to leak and I would love find a new combo that would tight things up. I'm a Mercedes tech so labor is not a big deal I could take them out if I really hated them. From my previous experience I won't.

What do you mean you have one shock leaking? No US-Spec OM642 Equipped bluetec even had an option for airmatic...Surely it's not an airmatic leak, so you're saying the OEM shock is leaking hydraulic fluid already? that's super rare and wow. Anyways, good luck with your mods, not my cup of tea, but whatever makes you happy.

yes the b16 sure does look like an amazing set up, I have gotten to mess around with the regular b16 kit with ride control on a 5 series at work. it did work well, my only hesitation is the too much of a loss in ride height

Height can be set to full height or really lowered like mine; it is fully adjustable.

Your are correct but he highest setting on the b16s are still lower than stock. How is your setup any pictures. I'd like to see the b16 set at the highest adjustment.
