2004 E500 w/ AMG Sport Package
E Class with AMG Sport Package
After 8 months of waiting. yes 8 months. i finally picked up my E500 with AMG Sports package. My dealer says its the first one in Florida.
I went crazy with my order
it has
Active Ventilated Front Seats
Driving Dynamic Front Seats
Headlamp Washing System
Curve Sensing Bi-Xenon Headlamps
CD Changer & harmon kardon Sound Sys
AMG Sport Package
Ski Sack w/Trunk Pass Thru
Split Fold Down Rear Seat
COMAND System w/DVD Navi

i do have a few questions
Can i add the Electronic Trunk Closer post production? my dealership says no.
Is it me or do the drive dynamic seats have a mind of their own.
if i add the k40 radar will it affect my warranty?

Yes, please send some fotos NOW!!! Especially the rear, curious to see those AMG exhaust since the AMG sports package is not the same exact look as the AMG itself, i.e dual exhaust on both sides, as opposed to one on each side. Also show us the tires and wheels. Did the birds eye wood trim come with the AMG because I noticed you didn't order appearance package? Tulations!!!

i wanna see pics!!!!! you could ask Steve if the trunk closer can be added, but some members said its not worth the money since it will cost more than just ordering it.

I ordered a similar one in November. It is on its way across the Atlantic now. Does your car have the dual exhaust tips on each side, or the single tips shown in the E brochure?

AMG+4Matic isn't available because staggered wheels and tires don't work well with center differentials... since the tires aren't exactly the same height.
Brybenz, did you remove the AMG badge from the trunk? All the non-AMG benzes with the AMG appearance package that I've seen have had the badge. Maybe it's not included in 2004 models.

I haven't seen the rules, but I have seen 640 x 480 pixel photos with file size of 28K. I am sure there are larger ones too, but this size should be suitable for the purpose.

my car has only the single tips as shown in the brochure...
they messed up on a few things though....i have wooden everything, yet they put titanium shift know...
the girll is the chrome and grey when it should be chrome and black....
its amazing that the sales people their barely know enough about benzes.....
had to take it back for them to do the following...
car pulls to the right...
dynamic seat inflate when off....
other than that....its greatt....
i luv it

My E500 gets to the Port of Jacksonville next Wednesday. From what I have seen on these forums, I will check it very closely for things like you found.
When I got my E320, I found a problem with it that the VPC and the dealer had not found (driver's side mirror position not retained in memory). It took them a couple of weeks to finally find and correct the problem (broken wire in console). Other than a few problems I have had after that, the car has been great and a real pleasure to drive. Hopefully the new one will be even better.
Thanks for the input. I was really wondering about the exhaust with the AMG package after the picture post, which clearly could not be the real AMG trim package since they only started building cars with this package on April 1. Hmm, wonder if that date has the same significance in Germany?

Yeah I agree that E55 with well equipped option can go up to $90k++. Too rich for my blood. I know that E55 is fast and it's the beast. But who's gonna ride that fast? How often? IMO E500 is enough for me 5.0L + V8 Engine.
