Replace my staggered AMG RIMS/Tires so that I can rotate the tires.

I really want to be able to rotate my tires and achieve a softer ride. I am willing to replace my staggered rims/tire combo. I currently have AMG 18" 5-spoked Wheels with mixed tires and sports-package. What factory smaller rims/tire combo can I get for maximum comfort and not performance.

Here's what I currently have

Not sure if your ever achieve that goal. I believe the manufacturer intended to have those, but now of course you could do whatever you like, but assuming going a smaller size might make not be best, or check with your local wheel shop. Just my humble opinion. GL

Get early W211 E320 16" wheels. They're dirt cheap and plentiful on Craigslist. W220 or W140 16" wheels would also work but avoid all other factory 16" wheels because they won't fit. Tire sizes are 215/55R16 or 225/55R16.
Going from 245/45R17 to 225/55R16 was a massive improvement in ride quality. On 18" and 19" wheels these cars ride like crap and you're always one pothole away from a bent rim.

You want the double spoke ones at the bottom of the pic.

x2.
For some time we had cars on 16, 17 and 18" rims.
The 16" on W211 gave the fishtailing feeling, but than smooth ride over the road.
17 and 18" wheels let you feel every street cover, when sometimes I had to look in mirrors if I am not leaving parts on the road.
I am not big fan of double spokes, but Polish-made rims from 2018 grew up on me.

Which 18" wheels did you have installed in the past?

Stock ones. Going from memory CLS 550 on 19's with airmatic, owner bent 2 rims in a year of ownership, E350 on 18" double spokes. That one was probably the worst because it didn't have air suspension front or rear. I can't believe people put up with this **** ride. There's nothing luxury car about it.

On other hand you can't forbid pimps from buying MB.
Did not have camera handy, but few months ago I stop at red light next to something that look familiar, but took me long seconds to recognize.
W124 lifted, on 24" wheels, painted yellowish and with double white strap from front to rear.
Now I keep the camera handy in case I see it again.
Quite a show.

To each his own I guess. These are not sports cars so to me ride Comfort is the number one priority. Other people have different priorities, more power to them.
