OEM pedal cover

I just bought a set of OEM pedal cover for my W211. The brake and foot brake is easy swap. But I don't know what to do with the gas one. Any one installed this before can you share with me that how you did that?

Thanks!

PM me your email address. I'll send you a Word doc with pics and instructions that I got from an eBay seller.

OK, I'll bite if nobody else will. If the "OE" in "OEM" stands for "original equipment", just what is hlck replacing with his "OEM" pedal covers?

I would think he is doing this little mod. Very simple, cheap and quite effective.http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=5517

He probably got them at the dealership, which is kind of what was suggested when you asked here:

Thanks!

Scorchie, I did call and ask and reffered to those part numbers and they told me they didn't come up.. I then asked them to search for any type of pedal for the W211 (and W203), nothing but the standard ones.. So..

It is sure OEM Mercedes parts. They're just too lazy to investigate...

Scorchie,

Can you get me the foot rest? If so, how much? Do you know how difficut to install it?

Thanks!

Perhaps since your in Canada the part numbers are different than the ones here in the States....

That's why you shouldn't ask by part number. Asking for a W211 isn't going to help you either since the Sport Package (the REAL one) isn't available yet in NA. Ask for the pedals for the R171 SLK (gas and brake) and R230 SL (parking brake). The W203 needs to be filtered by the sport package, and your parts guy apparently isn't capable enough to do this.

If you just can't get the parts in Canada, then you just can't get the parts in Canada. Oh well.

Haven't gotten the part numbers yet. I am waiting for our update disc for the parts system.

My December 9th build '05 E55 came standard with the metal pedals from the factory - might try looking it up under that criterion, if their parts lists have been updated accordingly.

The parts lists lag behind the cars builds sometimes by 3 months.

Your car still does not have the dead pedal... which seems to be the problem, as that's the part number people want, because we already know the part numbers for the other pedals (two from the SLK, one from the C-class).

Scorchie, have you heard anything on the footrest? The geniuses at my MB dealership want me to buy a whole new footrest panel (located under the carpet) in order to do this...ridiculous...!!
