Ha
Really bugs you doesn't it?

Not a huge issue for me, especially if that badge is another $100, but I may do it. I don't want the amg badge as I don't have an amg.... That's just wrong

Hope you don't have the AMG wheels on that car, it would really be wrong,

Good call- but don't you think there's a difference between a factory accessory package and aftermarket badging? I do, but to each, and all that. Prolly a separate discussion.

Btw, I like the star and jbspeed's spoilers.

I don't think it's a big deal, people have been moding Porsche, MB's, BMW's, etc for a long time, knowledgeable people will know what model a car really is and the others 99.9% of the people in the world won't care. IMO in the end whatever works for the owner is cool, I just like it when it looks right.

totally agree. I like what I have, and the "AMG" badging that i do have is part of a factory package- I wouldn't put anything "AMG" on the car to make it look like something beyond what it was, but have no problems adding items that look good as long as it wasn't trying to be a car that it wasn't....

Hi Guys, thanks for excellent pictures, and that has inspired me to take the jump. I am a bit confused though. From what I gather, I have narrowed it down to this seller that sells both grille and flat hood emblem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2010-...Q5fAccessories But then there is some reluctance about how well the hood emblem fits, and thus I looked at this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/M-BEN...item3361875720 which sells just the hood emblem. Please assist. Thanks

I initally bought the combo off ebay, however I just ordered the emblem MCF bought instead. I would recommend the same. It cost's a little more, but is much better than the plastic one that comes with the grill. Save the 20 or 30 bucks and get the grill by itself. Good luck.

Thanks BPhilly for the advise. Now, a personal preference question - whether I should go with Black or Chrome. My car is Black/Almond. Personally, I want to get Chrome, but then I am also thinking that the black mesh in the Black one would match really well with the black mesh under the front bumper. I know there is no correct answer, and its all personal preference - yet, I want to hear what you think. See? this is the problem with choices...do you want chocolate or vanilla? lol

Wow... good question. I would suggest dowloading all the photos posted and cycle through them to make your selection. Either will look great. I am really happy with mine. Tons of positive feedback from the people who have seen it in person.

I have a black E350 and have the black/chrome grill. Go with the black/chrome. I think the all chrome would just be way too much. The black matches my paint perfectly (Obsidian). Look at my pics above if you want an idea of how it will look.

Really really pretty.. Do you think a girl can pull this off on her own? I'm probably going to ask for help from friends.. But it looks really nice I'm very interested in doing it to mine.

For the hood emblem, I found 2 sellers. Both are same on top, but different at bottom. Please suggest which one to go for...

Glad I could help!! Seriously, I don't understand people with much nicer (and more expensive) E classes than mine and don't want to spend $90 on the nicest hood ornament? Why settle for a plastic one that doesn't fit or one with a nut and butterfly screw on the bottom!? If you can afford a $60K plus automobile, I think you can afford $90...and NO, I have NO affiliation with the ebay seller of the ornament I chose, it simply is the best one I could find.

Saw the thread that MCF put. Thanks for the info. My best piece of comfort comes from the fact that the bottom piece looks exactly like what comes factory upright ornament.

The ONLY thing I can add about the badge I got is that if you get it and the star is slightly off (I AM slightly OCD) then all you have to do is loosen the allen head on the bottom of the mount and the star in the middle can be turned and adjusted. Then simply tighten up the allen head on the bottom. Simple.

All Chrome great look and it's on order, thanks to kingofire for directing me a paint supplier who provides spray can's (MB 040 Black) so I can/or have my body shop paint the grill back. This should provide a nice look on a dark colored car, thanks again King.

Hey King the emblem looks great, nice fit, can you give us some background on size, fit (is it as good as it appears from the photo) and where you found it?
