Want to get the windows in my E350 tinted but am hesitant to go to some places for fear they will mess something up. Anyone in Houston that can recommend a real good shop?

I am not from Houston but from some of my contacts I have made online, this seems to be a great place. Definitely recommend the Huper Optik Ceramic tint. The gold standard of tinting. Expensive(~$400) but heat reduction is insanely worth it during summer!

Recommend infinity tint. Ask mb or BMW north. Had 3 benzs and two bmws done there.....perfect.
Got 35% Formula 1 Pinnacle tint all around. Looks GREAT!! Once I get hood ornament and star grill on I will post some pics of my Black Luxury P1 - seems like a rare combination around here - luxury and the round fog lamps!

Formula 1 Pinnacle is a great product!! A lot of people go out of their way to get it since not too many people use it due to price.Originally Posted by MCF

I am on the same journey as you. I just got 35% Llumar tint. I am waiting on the grille for now as I want the all chrome grille but black mesh to match the underbody spoiler mesh. I have asked the guy if there is a way the mesh can be removed and painted gloss black and waiting for his answer. I am keeping an eye on your posts about the hood ornament. I'll let you be the guinea pig
but thanks for doing that for me/us.As soon as u get the ornament I'll post. Oh, btw, some idiot rear ended me today!! We have had car 8 DAYS!! No real damage, just a little circular infection on bumper. Barely noticeable. Idiot driver behind me.

Oouch! Its hard enough to take that when the car is a couple of years old let alone 8 days! I feel for you man. It could have been much worse so I guess its better to look at it optimistically. After hearing your "emblem" story, I know that little blemish is going to bug you so get it fixed ASAP!Senior Member
Im surprised its legal to drive a car of the lot in Houston without tint. The freakin' heat you guys have.
I've been meaning to do this too. Heard some horror stories about the solution or water used when putting the tint on messing up the comfort access (or keyless go or whatever MB calls it) sensors. Has anyone had issues with this?

I have 35% all around and not a problem with Keyless Go. Just make sure the tint is not metallic and you'll be good to go.Originally Posted by mg-E550
