Apparently the recall concerns 2010 W212 sedans and 2010/2011 coupes (plus the C Class.) It doesn't appear to be engine specific.
Here are the recall documents released this week...

Anyway, the recall fix seems pretty straightforward.

MBCA lists: E-Class Coupes & CLK (W207-209) Includes all W208/W209 W/C207 CLK’s and E-Class Coupes.
And then they list: E-Class Sedan (W212) & Coupe (C207) Includes all W212 E-class sedan; C207 E-class coupe 2010-on.
So, were "E coupes" ever called W207s before the 2010MY W212 coupe (the C207) Or is it just the CLK versus E Class naming issue?
No big deal, I'm just curious.....

Your local dealer (wherever you take it for service) who already has your VIN will be able to verify over the phone if your VIN is in the affected list.
