Airmatic and beeps

Airmatic and beeps
It seems I am hearing faint beeps when I start driving or after I stop driving (get out of the car and walk away, engine off) that seems to be related to the suspension adjusting its height. Am I dreaming?

that suspension sound should only be a Pffffff'ing sound. I have airmatic and drive dynamic seats (19k miles now) and never get beeping as you describe

I am not talking about the fart noise (air escape). I hear faint one-second beep (electronically generated) that seems to come from somewhere outside the car (not in the cockpit). It seems to happen shortly after starting the car or shortly after shutting down and seems to be related to the airmatic operation.

After reading all these comments, I think my otherwise turning stomach is finding solace in the fact that its captain chose the non-Airmatic version of the W212.

I love it because it reminds me that I am not driving an ordinary car.
How many brand new cars queef on a regular basis and you dont feel the need to bring it in to the maintenace shop?!?

Actually MB thinks it's normal. And it is not really a beep but more of whistle sound that definitely is air escaping. Happens almost systematically when sitting idle and switching from Comfort to Sport. There is a fart-like noise that completes with a faint slight short whistling noise. They tested everything and did not find any fault. Perhaps there is an escape vent a little too tight somewhere. The only way to know would be to try another car. At any rate, not worth taking apart anything. Will see.

I might've just heard the sound you refer to. Normally, I hear just the fart (I get quick and slow farts), but occasionally there is a more "metallic" whistle -- I can understand how one might think it sounds like a beep. I suspect it is normal, as my car has made the sound many times. I'd forgotten about it until I heard it just a few moments ago.

Just wondering - when you first turn on the car, do you hear a (faint but) high pitch noise coming from back that lasts maybe a minute or so and never hear it. I believe it is the Airmatic cranking up or something. And then, when you turn off the ignition, that 'air' is let out. Or, maybe its just my car. Not worried, just wondering.

Sir, I get the sarcasm. And I understand you are more informed than me. I sincerely respect that. But, I was always told that no question is ever so stupid to ask. Sorry about bringing it up. I have since Googled it, so dont bother to respond. Cheers.
