For some reason my car doesn't beep anymore when I lock it???
When I used to lock my car, it used to beep, but for some reason, it doesn't beep any more. The lights blink, but it's completely quiet. Does anyone know how to turn the sound back on?

Ahh! They're trying to take away our sophisticated beeps to sneak in the raunchy honk-alarm! 
Seriously though, that sounds weird. Did you take the car in for service before it happened, or something?
Maybe something tripped the computer, per-se, and it's now on "no sound". I'm sure you can play with the I/C to get it back on. I'm curious.

but its in your instrument cluster menu somewhere. More than likely you or someone driving the car turned it off. Its called "acoustic locking confirmation" (I think) Its burried in the "settings" or "service" menu.

My car is a 2010. I looked through the cluster settings before, but I couldn't find it. I'll go look at them again.

You can change it yourself on the 2011's and I'm wondering if they have switched to using the horn and expect people will want to turn it off.

Ya, I noticed that too. I looked through every setting and the manual. There doesn't seem to be anyway to turn it back on. I'm heading to the dealer right now.
