Help with 20" tire sizes
I need some help with tire sizes for my new wheels. I ordered 20x8.5 front and 20x 9.5 rear, offset for both are 35. I was thinking 245 30 20 up front and 275 30 20 rear, will they work? Car is not lowered yet, but might after I install wheels and see how they look.

I would recommend 245/30/20 in the front and 285/25/20 in the rear I used a 285/30/20 and couldn't really lower my car or leveled the car as I wanted. I have coil overs done on my e 550 coupe which I was able to ad just everything to the right height . So I switched to a 25 series in the back to get the more lowered leveled look I wanted. Running on bra bus mono block s matte black 20 for winter and modulare m24 20 for summer.

Im lowered on 235/35/20 8.5 35et and rubs in the front once on a while.. If you lower on a 245/30 with 35et you might rub in the inner fender lip. On a 9.5 rear there's no reason to go larger than a 275 tire.. I have a 275/30 on 10" wide and no rubbing, but its slightly stretched, nothing crazy tho.

If you go with tires sizes (235/35 & 275/30) bigigg uses (and I recommend using them as well), you may find that lowering is not required. I have 235/35 front with 265/30 rear and think lowering is not needed.

Great, Thanks for the comments and advice. Any way you all can post some pics on here of your cars with the 20's so I can see. What do you think about those wheels I am getting? Their going on a black car.

Ok, You guys are going to kill me, what about a 245 35 20 up front? I am definitely going with the 275 30 20 rear, if I use that size front, the diameter and width on front and rear will be very close to stock. Will they rub? The 235 35 20 just seems narrow to me.

you'll never be able to lower with 245/35.. major rubbing. Also 245/30/20 is stock circumference. I was worried about 235/35 but trust me its not bad at all, the stretch is very minor. If your that concerned than just go with a 245/30.. personally if I had to pick one or the other, I would go with the thicker side wall.

Just a coupe of things.
1. 245/35 will not fit even not lowered unless "work" is done a front perch.
2. I would not put 245/30 on. If you think that 235/35 is too "narrow", than I would use 255/30 (more sidewall hight to "protect" wheels and higher load capabilities are the reasons).

Tire sizes on 20's can be a never ending discussion. And your correct, I forgot how close 235/35 is to the plate at the bottom of the spring, 245/35 will def rub.. 255/30/20 8.5 35et will def rub if lowered. There's many things to consider, and basically something will be sacrificed during the process. I dont know actual load ratings, but the difference between 245/30 and 255/30 is 3mm.. thats nothing.

Ok, I ordered 235 35 20 and 275 30 20, should be in next week along with my wheels. I will post pics when its done. Still no answer on my wheel choice, any comments. I like them because, 1- their 20's, 2- they have black on the insides, 3- they look somewhat factory looking.

You selected the correct sizes. What tire brand?
Sorry, I won't comment on any wheels (unless I realy love them or realy do not) since its a personal choice and you must be happy with your decision regardless of what anyone else says here. I'll keep my posts on what fits (or not) only. Good luck.

I went with Kumho ecsta spt, not sure exact model. I had my local tire guy I've known for years get them and He said their decent. THREEMBS, what are you running. I had trouble matching front and back tire sizes with brands.

Qualitywise, make sure you do your homework. I didn't see that these are forged wheels and IMO they should be for the W212. Read their Terms and Conditions becuase the very short quality related statements they make are very likely subject to many qualifiers and disclaimers.
If nothing else, take a poll on this and any other car sites to see if others have experience with this wheel the manufacturer.
GL and post pics when you get your new shoes on (whatver you go with).

On my coupe, I am using now discontinued General Exclams UHP in 235/35 front and 265/30 rear (rear size is still available in very limited quantities if one looks hard enough). I used these tires on many vehicles and am happy with how they handle especially in the rain. The problem with them is that they do not last much on FL's highways, but for the price of one Micheline PSS I can buy three of these (I actually bought three rear pairs for less than one rear pair of PSS or PS2 would have been, since I knew I wont find them again).
On my sedan, I am using the same Kumho SPTs front tires as you are (or will be) and the above mentioned Generals in the rear. Mixing tires is not ideal (and would be a no-no on a 4matic), but as long as the rear mounted tires can handle hydroplaning better than fronts and both pairs are in the same "category", it is still considered acceptable.

I have seen numerous members lately purchasing these wheels and have no complaints. My car is not a daily driver, maybe 4 or 5 k miles a year. Just going crazy on the two styles. Come on THREE MBS, what would you go with, all black or black and polished?

235/35/20 on the front and 275/30/20 on the rear
wheel size front 8.5 offset 35 and rear 9.5 offset 35
The reart are a little agressive. I wouldn't recommend lowering that much. You could get away with an inch or maybe half and inch "maybe"

Mounting a tire which is narrower than the rim's width on a daily driven car is rediculus as there is a high possibility of tire's bead comming off the wheel's groove. Front diameter is 26" while rear is 27"? That is extream for sure.
Fortunately the OP already ordered (correct sized) tires.

245/30/20 9 offset for fronts and 285/25/20 10 offset with custom coil overs. I rolled out the fender well so it didnt rub. When i had 285/35/20 in the rear, the car wasnt leveled and it rubbed. Brabus monoblock s for in matte black for the winter and modulare m24 for summer.
