New to the forum. No newbie threads?
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and from trolling around the other forums, this seems like the best forum out there for info and I love it.
I am also a new w212 owner. Got my E350 about a month ago in Steel Grey. I love it to death!
On top of that I also work at a Mercedes Benz dealership in Billings, MT. If you need any info I'm right here for you! Ask me whatever, it's a learning experience for me as well and would love feedback.
I can obtain most any info from NetStar so give me a shot.
After some debating it looks like I might trade up and get an E550 with Designo options since the 2013 model will be unchanged mostly. Though some info for you is there will be the hybrid option and Keyless Go seems to be an option now without having to go for P2.

Hey mbmvaughn! Greetings from newbie to newbie! My E350 is my first M-B and it's been a blast so far! Quick question... So why are you opt'ing to upgrade to the E550 so soon after buying the E350? Business has been that good @ the dealership lately? That's a huge price difference, isn't it? Just saying!!! lol

It is truly a price difference. My E was 59,xxx if I trade in soon I wont lose much. With employee pricing I can get the Designo options, P2, rear entertainment (have a kid on the way), blind spot assist and some other goodies and only have to pay around 15k more.
There isn't any BMW dealerships in this town, or all of Montana, nor Lexus. There is an Audi dealership but it is a good 250-300 miles away and only true Audi fans would go so far and have to service it at a independent shop. So MB does pretty good here, although our inventory isn't HUGE, not having to pay taxes is a huge plus. We also carry mostly SUV and 4matics out here since we are in the Northern climate states.
After seeing Designo options, and wanting a V8 again, plus not having P2 or some of the goodies I wanted in the first place, I decided I'd tough it out and take the long wait to get something I will truly stay in love with. That and you only live once! Some say I should just get an AMG or CLS. I just don't think those would fit me as I don't make that much money atm, I just used the money I already had through other means =). AMG vehicles just don't have that big of a market here either. Everything needs to be 4matic, AWD or 4x4 lol.

Hello all. I am new to the forum and new owner of a beautiful E350. I am so loving this car! I just want to learn and read all I can about it. I have only had it one week and I am crazy about it. Just wanted to say hello

Reading a manual should help you learn about how the stuffs work or you can browse entire forum , this is what I did prior to buying my car and there are very helpful friends here .It's time consuming but it's worth

I might be the closest MB dealer to you...i am at MB Regina just above you in Saskatchewan.
. now we have a member who works at a mb dealer state side. maybe we all can have some great deals finally

Nice ride! I have the same color seats but mine is luxury so the dash etc is light not black. I really like the offset of the light seats and blk dash/headliners! Wish it had been an option for me as a luxury buyer...

Yes I can't wait to see a Designo in person! Also new for 2013 it seems in NetStar there is going to be a Bang & Olufsen sound system option (at a pretty penny, about the same as Audi's) it also notes that the trunk space will be less because of the size of the system!
My garage flooring are the RaceDeck tiles and are 1sq ft tiles a piece. Took me all day to install and some borders may need to be cut to fit. They do cut easy though. www.racedeck.com. Spoke with Lindsay and I got my whole garage done for about $2500.00 including ramp pieces. I also have a 3 car garage, that was just part of it =D

Hey MinnBobber, I'm going to find you that info. The MY13 from what I've read so far will launch 7/2012. As I find out more info from my sales manager I'll get back to you.
Also for the MY13 year there will be 2 new colors. Diamond Silver Metallic and Polar White =)

Thanks for reminding me about colors. I had heard of the new Polar White. Can you see if your manager knows how it differs from 2012 Arctic White which I understand is now being dropped. I'm hoping it is NOT more of a "refrigerator white" like a lot of service vans. I like the more off-white/creame white/ pearl white etc.
Any info on Diam Silver Met would be great too. Will it be like Iridium Silver on paint steroids??? That hints of the approx $1600 Diam White upcharge though....
The 2013 MB page I saw listed colors in an odd fashion with some $$ amounts listed and some not listed. It listed Diamond White for about $750 BUT the sales guy guessed that is $750 ABOVE the other metallic paints so still $1600. I love the Diam White but the upcharge is hard to justify.

Diamond Silver is similar to Iridium Silver, but it has a blue-ish colour to it.
I have seen an SL500 and a CLK320 both in this colour...i would call it a feminine colour.

Welcome!. Despite some of my other posts, I still like my car after 2.5 years and have no plans to replace it.
Would advise you read the Operator's Manual and COMAND Manual very carefully. Lots of information in there. Lots of good advice on this site and don't be afraid to call MBUSA or e-mail them through their website if you have a question.
