New E350 delivery process

Dear all, my 2012 E350 Luxury P2 is expected to arrive dealer lot from VPC next week, when I will take delivery. So what is typical delivery process for a new E350 ? I don't want to miss any step.

(1) Should I at least ask to see the car, and test drive it to make sure it works ? and odometer has <50 miles ?

(2) The MB rubber floormats, retail for $100, will the dealer give you for free ? Or do you just buy it from its shop ?

(3) Does the dealer give you accessories like keychains ?

the mats can be found for less no doubt.....
don't let 'em get you with the new car euphoria they'll know you have

it's a fun experience! enjoy!

Have your dealer throw in the mats. And most will give you a couple free key chains, especially since there is a pretty standard one with their name, address and phone number engraved on them.

I was kinda excited when I first met my car lol

1- You can ask to see your car ,I did this when I visited my dealer and sales reps kindly brought the car from inventory . They also let me sit in other cars and shot some pics too

2- I didn't order floor mats but when I sit inside I saw Mercedes-Benz logo badge floor mats and I was like a child in candy shop or Starbucks lol

3- Yup, I have two keys and they gave me two key chains for free . I also got a hardcovered folio

You can see many cool MB accessories . I purchased a historic MB keyring along with the card organizer .
I love accessories lol

1) I would ask to drive it of course.
2) I bought the all weather floor mats for my C a few months after i got the car, and with my new E it came with them.
3) I got a keychain

congrats and don't forget to post some pics after .

1) not only test drive the car, walk around the car, pop both the hood and trunk, inspect the interior and every single area. it's your car. do whatever you feel comfortable.
2) it depends on your sales advisor. if he/she wants to keep you as a long term customer, all weather rubber mats are really nothing. but he/she might not throw them in since you didn't ask for them before you sign all the papers. he/she will tell you the best is give you their employee price.
3) once again, same as #2. you can ask for all kind of accessories. keychains, license plate, mugs, caps, shirts, etc.

My sales guy threw in a pair of key chains from the MB Accessories...one of them included an AMG key chain. :-)

Along w/ the keychains, dealer threw in a M-B umbrella (purple, wifey's fav) and a nice pen to boot! Think we got something else too, but can't remember right now...Alzheimers setting in!

Feel like i got the total shaft here on the accessories. 2 Benzes from the same dealer now and all ive gotten is a little metal MB keychain each time....

So I will ask to test drive the car before we begin any paperwork. I never used the gear selector on the steering wheel though.

I do expect the rubber floormats.

Will come back to update you guys.

Additonal Question on Financing: Dealer says 3.99% from a bank. Should I insist on financing through MBFS ? Because I saw once in a while they have "loyalty" incentive only available to MBFS customers. (when u buy car in the future)

Try USAA. They are much lower.
